Put my hands up and admit with me it was wait and see with Smith but he has me convinced that had he been managing us last season we would have been promoter automatically. It is telling that Pulis and Bruce are very similar in footballing outlook and this game told the story. There was not one player that didn't play a part today so much so that Jack wasn't a stand out. I envy all those that can get to the baggies game the atmosphere will be electric.

That must be the best team performance in the Championship this season.

Were all obviously biased. But I was watching thinking that any neutral must be thinking this

Leeds 4-1 win at derby was meant to be pretty special too

But for a third game in six days, given the nature of the other games. Just fantastic

this time last year we  were fifth with 36 points, eight behind Wolves in top. Interestingly, Fulham were 15th, ten points behind us.

The really encouraging thing is that we've beaten Derby and Boro 3-0, both who have contrasting styles of play. West Brom will present a more Derby type of threat, yet they got turned over 4-1 at the Hawthorns not long ago. West Brom's defence lacks pace.

Sky commentator 'Aston Villa have bought their show to Teeside and Middlesborough reluctantly have front row seats.'  Superb.

Absolutely love that sound bite.

That Sky commentator loves us. He came out with some pearlers against Blues last week aswell, including one about Blues fearing the Holte End rising into the Birmingham sky. Bet that went down well.

Its fast becoming apparent that Glenn Whelan missing the penalty against Preston is probably his finest achievement

Glen Whelan will be the book-end of ten years of purgatory... the last minute equaliser for Stoke and missing that penalty.

My word, you could be right.

That first 30 minutes was sublime.
They couldn't get near us.
El Ghazi and Bolasie destroyed their full backs.
Albert could be struggling to get his starting place back.
Everyone was just great today.
A special mention to the defence today as they were all good.
Even Nyland made a great save getting the slightest touch on that shot that hit the bar.
It's amazing the difference in our players under Smith, the confidence is just oozing out of them.
"Dean Smith, he's one of our own"
Bring on the Baggies.

BoroTv on YouTube well worth watching on YouTube, lots of reaction from their supporters outside after the match and one or two of ours too. Last season after the playoff first leg they were very bitter, last night they actually admit we annihilated them. Lots of anti Pulis stuff too. Well worth a watch.
