This isn't just getting the Villa back; it's like getting the 76-77 version of the Villa back. I fancy us to score a hat-full against anyone. Even if the FA Cup third round draw sends us to the Etihad I'd fancy us to get a couple.

If we are anywhere near 40 points by the turn of the year I'd fancy us for automatic.

Completely assured, if wed have had Smith since the start of the season wed be top I'm convinced of it.  Really, really good performance.

100%, Its not even up for debate.

Great to have a clean sheet after Wednesday's pub team defending against Forest (entertaining though that game was).

All sets us up nicely for the Albion game!

Agreed, but we got him now that’s the main thing

We didn't always take the right option when we had players in good attacking positions.

So even from an attacking point of view we can improve - which is quite scary.

Get the chuff in.  That was as close to the perfect away performance as you''ll see.

Statement win.
Statement performance.
At 2-0 up, I still had the fear we'd somehow Villa it up; performances like this are slowly but surely diminishing that fear.

And at a slight tangent, it just shows what a difference management, coaching and tactics makes to players, and we should always be careful when label players as simply "shit".  Neil Taylor, for example, was excellent today.
