Personally I'm not sure what the outrage is about from a sporting perspective. I don't think we're particularly disadvantaged with it being on Friday to Sunday. We'll still have an extra day's prep than them. They still won't want to risk players with the final so close. As others have mentioned, they are also clearly at a disadvantage compared to their likely opponents, also a PL team, in the final if it is on a Sunday.Having said which, it's shit again for match going fans that this is only being decided now and I'd be fuming if it had messed my own personal plans.Finally, it would be hilarious if they get knocked out now.
