They don't tend to play derby games on Boxing Day. There are fewer available police dealing with more incidents than usual, and there is less public transport to get fans away from games safely afterwards. They do tend to choose fairly local games that aren't regarded as derbies, though, but there aren't an even number of teams from each region, and somebody has to play Newcastle.

That Everton move is a pain in the arse. Means it will be completely impossible to watch Finals Day, even in a pub, if Bears make it. Feel like Villa vs Everton is chosen for live telly every year.

We also have Champions League the midweek after Ipswich, so if we play on Tuesday that'll have to move back again. Bit of a waste of time moving it already.

Have they already chosen the TV Boxing day games, BBC has only updated up to end of September.

Ipswich away goes to 8pm on the Saturday if it can't be played on the Sunday so that will be even worse for travelling fans and also the type of game we're bound to mess up.

I think all the Boxing Day games will be televised as it's on Amazon.

I'm away on holiday, so I'm chuffed.  :)

I get back off holiday that morning, so a later kick off is perfect for me :)

Was hoping the Arsenal game was going to be moved away from the Saturday. Daughter's birthday and she has ZERO interest in football. 😭

We're not in their first picks through to the end of September.

Not sure what anybody would think, but I rely heavily on this thread to try and work out when games are fixed and can actually plan my life and that of my little ones.
I think at the moment we know changes are made until the end of September is that right?

It wouldn’t be me doing it, but if anyone is able to do summary updates, eg maybe it’s the fixture list edited with the current changes with a moving line between which dates are fixed and which are subject to change, that would be just incredibly helpful.

The fact I’m asking you folk and not able to rely on accessible club info is of course another thread entirely (I’d prefer not to fill this up with that debate!)

There is usually a list of dates when changes will be announced, not that they observe it. The other issue will be European games (for us and opponents) which will mess things up. So good luck to whomever decides to do it :o)

The Championship have announced all TV games up to Boxing Day, shame the Premier League can't do similarly, at least once the European games are confirmed.
