True. But in lockdown my one, desperate, I'm not missing the pub oh no honest routine is to watch a couple of films with a few beers on Saturday night, and the 8pm kick offs spoil it. I don't really enjoy the booze when I am stressing out about the Villa.

I dislike the Monday match, since in my mind we always tend to be terrible. No idea if the stats bear that out.

When attending games, Saturday at 3pm is by far the best. Saturday at 5.30pm not bad, while 1230 is okay for home games though a bit of a pain for aways if you like to have a few pints first.

When on the telly I would like the Saturday at 1230, get it out the way and you have the rest of the day to yourself. Well, they would be if pesky BT didn't have the rights to those games as I don't have BT.

So, I will stick with 3pm/5.30pm Saturday or just about any Sunday kick off that is on BBC/Sky or Amazon please.

This season's results:

Chelsea 1 Villa 1 (though this was a Bank Holiday game so not a Monday night one)
West Ham 2 Villa 1
Fulham 0 Villa 3
Villa 1 Sheff Utd 0

So Monday results are roughly on a par with our results, generally. I do share your general concern about them and can think of a couple of very bleak Monday nights in particular.

I detest the 4pm ish kick-offs. They fall right in the family time part of the day, tea etc. So I can't sit down and relax to watch it. Evening kick-offs are by far the best and Sunday is my new favourite.

Actually going to the match an evening kick-off is best for atmosphere, but 3pm is pretty good....again the 4pm is a nothing time as it disrupts every part of the day.

Detest televised weekend lunchtime  kick offs. Too early for a beer.

Never too early!

I hate the Saturday 8pm ones too. Loving these 6pm weekday ones in the current climate though.

Until the West Ham away game, i think we'd won every game played after 2pm on a Sunday, and lost every game played before.

Agreed on all these points, the tea time games are a right pain, I can't watch them properly. Lunchtime are Blues as well.

**Ha ha, the filter still works

6pm makes it a bit of a rush home from work and then there's kids bedtime to negotiate too. However, it works out ok if Villa are early and Sheff Utd (the other half's team) are on late as we tag team it. I'm not properly settled for a beer though.

Anyone know if Amazon Prime will get another round of games?  Apart from Villa, of course, and "Sunderland till I die" I never watch or use it and I'm sure if I cancel Jeff Bezos will manage to scrape by.

During Winter I don't like Sunday evening games, as that is when I watch NFL.

Looking at our stats, we seem to be shite in February, so best to move our games to then.

Prime seem to be showing Saints v Wolves on 14th Feb. Can't see anything else listed for them.
