The next two games are against the bottom 2 clubs in the division, and if Bruce doesn't get 6 points I think he's gone. In 5 away games this season Preston have scored twice and haven't got a single away point. They're almost as bad as Rotherham, and if we can't beat them Bruce has to go. I think we'll win tomorrow 2-0 to give Bruce a stay of execution, but draw with Millwall on Saturday which will seal his fate.

I'd go:

Nyland

Elmohamady Chester Tuanzebe Taylor

Hourihane McGinn Grealish

El Ghazi Abraham Bolasie

Apologies for suggesting Taylor, but I'd just like to see a defence with everybody in their correct position, even if he is a bit crap.

You're gonna play Nyland in behind the right back?  Good plan Risso, I like it, it's innovative and that's probably why Steve is unlikely to agree with you.  Waaaaay too creative.

Villa win 1-0.

Score draw with Robinson and Johnson playing well.  Always liked these two.

2-1 That should shut a few people up.

Serious ??

Not in the slightest! I was just imagining the post match interview when this happens.

A forward?  That'll never catch on.  I wonder if that means that Abraham's knock has meant he's not fit for tomorrow?

Seems that way. I didn't name him in my suggestedbteam as if it is a calf problem then it's likely to be a couple of weeks.

We better see Bolasie and El Ghazi start.

3-1us. These are shite, but we can't keep a clean sheet.

I'm not even going to have a stab at the starting eleven. He could as easily pick all of El Ghazi, Bolasie, Albert, Kodjia and Abraham as pick none of them. Who knows, maybe Hogan's fit.

Anyone reckon Barney will start?

If we win it will be simply because the talent we have should be better than 80% of the league. Not because Bruce has anything to do with it.

I've had 1-1 in my head but I'll go for a 2-1 win. Kodjia with both ours.

Someone might get a full house on their Steve Bruce bingo card in that eventuality.

A hard fought aweary tired looking 2-1 win for Villa, that takes us into another must win at Millwall and Bruce stays in place for another month.

Villa 2-1 win.

No draws or losses in this one Mr Bruce.
