I think the club knew about this for a while - hence why Green was recalled?

Not so sure about that, if he indicated he was off I’d doubt he would have started on Saturday.

Why play him against Hull then where he could easily be injured?

Perhaps the reaction is more short term, whether it's us or him that's exercised the option.

Says in the article he wants to force his way into the Everton first team. That's a first team with Walcott and Richarlison among others as attacking options. Good luck with that Yannick.

He should have blown this league apart but clearly for the last two or three weeks at least something was up. I wonder whether this was always his plan from the start - get fit, go back. Why have a break clause otherwise?

Liverpool Echo are saying that he wanted to leave , and he triggered a clause to leave

Any insights into what the clause was ?

I think Bolasie leaving is a statement in one way or another

.
Depending where Bolasie ends up in this window

If had an offer from premier league or abroad at higher level .
Or maybe something around playing minutes either the first half season hasn't met required matches he can leave ?
Or he's been told he won't make number of matches remaining so thought oh I'll go

You could well be onto something there. Mid-Nobember to Mid-December we had a real player. Thereafter not so much.

He'll end up exactly where he was previously.  Going shopping in Liverpool every Saturday afternoon.

I haven't seen much of him this season, but Everton fans don't seem hugely impressed by Walcott. Wouldn't be amazed if Yannick starts for them.

Lookman is sensation young player and they have Brazilian called Bernard.

Those 2 are ahead of him and Walcott who he would be behind and Richarlison when he's not up front

Mate who sits next to me is an Evertonian and he doesn't rate him at all and isn't impressed with the news.

Hopefully Dean has sent him off with a packet of mince.

I didn't think he was that bad. Some of his first time crosses from the right were very good but if he wanted out or Smithy wanted to get rid, then so be it. I am surprised by it though.
