100% wish him well, but frankly this hasn't bothered me one jot

He can't perform for more than 25 minutes a match and even then he's hit and miss

Maybe this is why we have been so crap the last few weeks - bad egg in the camp?

A poor decision to sign him when clearly not match fit. He was very erratic and certainly didn't justify that ridiculous salary. Which idiot signed-off this deal at the club??

I honestly don't care who terminated it.  It is the correct decision.  £75k a week for virtually nothing for well over a month.  Andre Green is probably his replacement.  Good.

Apart from a couple of goals and a couple of nice turns he has offered next to nothing. Good that he is going back. More pitch time for Green.

Not sad to lose him at all. Very much a Bruce-type player who can produce a moment of individual brilliance and do nothing for the rest of the game.

He is not the future we are planning for.

Obviously Deano read my post match comments on Saturday!

Took ages to get fit, looked threatening as an impact sub but useless as a starter, and on Saturday he just didn't look interested.  Don't wish him any ill-will but his wages can be put to much better use now

It matters not who decided he went back the main thing is that AVFC aren’t shelling out 70k a week on a passenger.

My guess would be that his lack of work rate, diabolical positional sense & very sporadic contributions in attacking areas have always had him & Dean at loggerheads & getting the hook (fully deservedly) on Saturday wounded the ego enough to trigger the going home discussion.

Let’s please make this the last overpaid Jonny Average who has achieved naff all mugging us off for huge wages without giving back.

Looked good to start and tailed off. That said you could level that at a lot of players.

He probably wanted to go back after reading the comments on here. Luckily for him he lasted until the 58th minute on Saturday before being hooked, that I think was 53 minutes too late. Given his lack of effort over the last few games it isn't surprising that we haven't got the results. We start with 10 men at best and given the performance of some of the others 9 or 8 sometimes.

He put the ball out of play after literally 5 seconds on Saturday. After that appalling quarter-arsed performance he can do one, quite frankly.

That'll be a loan space freed up then!  Waste of space, waste of money, won't get into the Everton side either.  300k a month!! Waster and I don't care who finished with who, it's a great decision.

The show pony’s show pony.
Immense talent but complete waste of space, I think he has issues.

The roll call of clubs on his cv perhaps suggest otherwise. Plymouth Argyle, Barnet, Bristol City doesn't suggest world beater.

Although I'm with PWS a bit, he was exciting. Just not often enough.
