Looks like he wanted out, rather than us sending him back.

Have a read of the first couple of pages of this thread from us fickle AV fans, gut wrenching !🤣🤣

Unfortunately his enthusiasm at the start had completely disappeared by Saturday, so best all round to return to Everton. Bring someone in that wants to play

Liverpool Echo are saying that he wanted to leave , and he triggered a clause to leave

Their supporters sound delighted.

Only PWS seemed to defend him to the last but I think this is for the best.
Any chance we can bring Albrighton home now?

The one that just signed an extension to his Leicester deal?

Unlikely as he signed a new deal with Leicester last week.

That’s interesting, wonder why he wanted out.

I was being purposefully wishful.

If Bolasie has made the decision that must mean we're off the hook for any early-termination fee to Everton.

I stand by my comments from the first few pages (and on the speculation thread) he's just not consistent enough at any part of the game to be worth building your attack around, he's great as a wildcard to get something from nothing every now and then but you just don't get promoted on the back of players like that. What I said on the Hourihane thread holds true here as well, to see past his flaws his positives need to be better than 2 goals and 4 assists in 21 games.

I don't dislike him and I hope he does well wherever he ends up next but he's just not what we needed at all and Bruce sending Green on loan to get him in whilst having so many other problems in the squad is a big part of why Smith is our manager now.

Well I guess we're saving a bundle on wages now. Whether we were paying half or all of it, either way it was a lot.

He didn’t seem to have the ability or temperament to play that pressing game, Tammy was obviously unimpressed on Saturday that he wasn’t being helped.

When he was good he was very, very good but when he was bad he was wicked. He should have ripped the league up. He didn’t.

I think the club knew about this for a while - hence why Green was recalled?
