Just got home.  Still cant work out why Bruce picked that defensive formation? However, a last minute winner and very happy with six points from the opening two games. UTV

Does anyone know how Grealish got on in his debut for Spurs?

The bit I saw of the Spurs/Newcastle game was terrible. It was like primary school football - 20 outfield players all crowding round the ball and randomly kicking it at each other.

Yeah, he should have went to Leeds where Bielsa would have him playing with team-mates who'll pass and move for him.

Surely he'd have been better suited at Wolveselona?

I thought we looked better when we went to 4 at the back, would like to seee Tuanzebe alongside Chester.

RHM played well.

Oh and Clyde are top of the League; Mon e Bully!!

We played four at the back all game didn't we?

Dodgy at the back but feck me Grealish and McGinn look fantastic. 6 out of 6. Superb!

My Rangers friends (they’re actually sound) reckon we’ve got a steal with McGinn. Their summary was a young Scott Brown but better. The “bad news” is he’ll be at Villa for 2 years before we sell him for 20m. 😢
I can’t believe that. That you have Rangers supporting friends😂 on McGinn he could as good as Pat McMahon. Possibly the best debut since Dion Dublin.

That defence was woeful today.  Tuanzebe was cack, and Jedi slow and pedestrian, with that utterly cretinous back pass to ruin Nyland's debut.  Needs sorting ASAP.  As does the striking situation.

Hutton was really poor for their second too.

Utterly ridiculous number of changes in the space of a week from Bruce though. We complained about his lack of rotation last season but this was Ranieri esque....with a hangover.

Yes it’s strange we won a game without a proper team out there. Disorganised incapable defence and  totally bereft of any forward formation. So 1/3 of the team worked  just think how good we could be if Bruce sorted the other 2/3.

I think a lot of  people agreed with team selection before the game. Those who were generally poor on Monday were left out.

Jedinek can't play left centreback & keeper certainly didn't command his area. McGinn was excellent.

We need a left footed centre half & a centre forward.

Nice one Birkir!  Nice touch by Jack at the end handing that shirt over to that fan.

Thought John McGinn was great: seems to relish playing for us already!

I saw the lad with the shirt alongside his dad at the bus stop on Aston Lane. He was beaming like it was Christmas morning

The Eric Morecambe quote, "all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order" springs to mind. He can't keep making the same mistakes if we are to be serious contenders this season. Bruce needs to up his game and quickly.  We're lucky with the soft start we have but there was little excuse playing a right back in midfield, a midfielder at centre back and a centre back at right back.

What a debut that was! His and Carbone's are two of my absolute favourites.
Hope you enjoyed today, fella!

Yes eventually as you just can’t beat an injury time winner but you should have seen me sitting there with my head in my hands after Jedi nicely set up Nick Powell😡
