The negatives:

1) Lack of organisation at the back - why throw so many different players in and play them out of position?
2)Hutton on the left stifled his ability to move the game on as he has no left foot.
3)Jedinak was dire and at fault for both goals.
4) Axel is a centre half
5) The poor distribution from the back - it was chronic
6) The ball for Kodjia is feet or the channel- don't keep knocking it up and expecting it to stick. It never has and it never will

Positives
1) McGinn. Excellent work rate and lovely range of passing.
2) Mentality - we went behind, again and came back, again. We went right to the death.

As poor as we were 2nd half, after comfortably dominating a plucky Wigan, it shows a lot of character to come back.

We need 4 players and to treat our defensive organisation with more respect. But we won, despite Bruce's idiocy today.

We're gonna win the league!

I have just looked at the Championship table (sad I know at this stage of the season) and we are second. But how come Boro, who are top have played an extra game as have Forest, Albion and Sheffield United?
Because they have played an extra game😊
OK there is a full set of fixtures midweek after next but two games from that set were brought forward to this week for a) clash with the Test match at Trent Bridge and b) Boro were being asked to play on Tuesday and then again on Friday for tv so their Tuesday game was played this week.

Hate to say it but totally agree with this summary😊

I thought for a minute that was one of your mates who you had put a TV up for and he was proudly showing that it was still on the wall.

But seriously, what is there not to love about Paul McGrath.

I haven't got any friends. It's cheaper at Christmas.

My Rangers friends (they’re actually sound) reckon we’ve got a steal with McGinn. Their summary was a young Scott Brown but better. The “bad news” is he’ll be at Villa for 2 years before we sell him for 20m. 😢

If we are in the 'EPL' then I think he will command a far higher fee if he chooses to leave us for lesser teams.

. Why will he want to leave a club who are in the Champions League?

The bit I saw of the Spurs/Newcastle game was terrible. It was like primary school football - 20 outfield players all crowding round the ball and randomly kicking it at each other.

That defence was woeful today.  Tuanzebe was cack, and Jedi slow and pedestrian, with that utterly cretinous back pass to ruin Nyland's debut.  Needs sorting ASAP.  As does the striking situation.

And yet we still found a way to win. The key here is luck runs out eventually, so hopefully as this new team comes together over the next few weeks we will have picked up as many points as possible in the process. We cannot continue with having no production up front. The ammo is now there.

Just got home. Can't believe we won that. Thought we controlled the game until their equaliser and then lost bit of composure, they bossed first half of second period but we got fortunate second goal and obviously never gave up meaning we got that precious winner. Six points out of six which you can't argue with but defence looks bit sloppy - Jedi should never play centre back again and I thought Barney poor despite his goal. Hutton did ok, couldn't believe that bit of skill in the first half and McGinn was IMMENSE! We need another striker though as Kodjia looks no where near the player of two years ago.
