Wouldn't lose any sleep over a left back who reneged on a deal to play for Fulham. We've had enough players the last few years with mercenary type tendencies and it has done us no good.

I kind of agree but this is lad who was ‘one of our own’ in Bristol Circles.so it’s incredible how the lure of PL football turns their heads no matter how little and shitty the club a la some shittty little village slightly NW if the greatest city on earth

Walsall?

Seeing clubs described as “shitty tin pot clubs” just reminds me of the arrogance of Man Utd fans in the nineties.

Eh? Non comprendez.  We are Aston Villa we will always be arrogant. It’s what our subordinate West Midlands clubs constantly complain about for God’s sake

Compared to us every club is a shitty little club.

I think we hi-jacked a deal for Marlon Harewood once and that turned out well

McGinn said he felt it when he sat in the stands. I've been to a few balls in the Trinity Road and Villa Park empty at night is just as awe inspiring as it is packed.

You'd walk out at Craven Cottage and see what a tin pot outfit they are. Clutching tight to those Premier League badges and hope you impress enough to get picked up by another Premier League club in 12 months time when they take the plunge.

Fulham are a decent club and play decent football. I'm sure he'll do well under their manager.

It's no massive loss though, is it. I'd never really heard of him before we showed an interest, and have no idea how he plays.

It's just the premier league.

I can't believe this thread has almost as many pages as Chester's. A real villain if ever there was one.

Time to lock.  Can’t fault the player for his last minute decision, Premier League football now for a progressive manager.

Nail on head Mr Underhill.  The clue is in the name of this superbly provocative and life enhancing forum.  We must have our Heroes and our Villains.  Bryan-Unsworth has been duly inducted into the illustrious Hall of Infamy standing beside Stas, Tonev, Downing, Richards, Lescott, Westwood, Gardner, Hodge, Ireland and all the rest whose Villainy make our Heoroes shine so much brighter.

Bit harsh for Westwood (and even Tonev) to be in the same company as those players. They just weren't good enough at the time they were in and around our team.

I don't see why City and their fans are so delighted that he snubbed us? - didn't Bryan just leave them?
