SJM on being a Captain?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/67959508

As he mentions the Captain speaks to the manager about players, I wonder whether that was why Carpethead took against Mings on something that was raised.

The problem at the time with Gerrard was the way he handled it. McGinn wasn't playing well enough to justify being first choice, let alone captain, and there was absolutely no need for the manager to fall out with Mings and then bring it into the public domain.

Well, even in jest, that's not true. Kamara for example.

Look at fucking Risso backing up his mate Gerrard. Sad day. He'll be telling us Garde was solid next.

I fucking loved Garde me, not as much as O'Leary, obvs, but it's a close run thing. Personally I'd be sacking Emery and bring back Eric Black though.

Everybody's best mate. Well not the Villa players who looked a bit foreign, but apart from them.

Meatball on his accent/making himself understood by teammates:

"Leon told me "Bro...14 months until I learned what you were saying..."  ;D

I hope he is fully recharged when he comes back as he has looked knackered latley - ever since the monumental efforts against City and Arsenal

Although that could be laid at a good few of them to be honest

He looks a little like Simon Barlow off Corrie.
