It was shown in the extended highlights link from FV in the Match Highlights thread. It was tremendous play and I expect because it wasn't "in the box" it seems to have been missed as brilliant defensive work.

I think he is our main man right now.

I thought something similar, he's certainly taken on a more senior role since Joe left. Whilst he may only be sub-Captain, he along with Mings, Konsa and Ollie lead by example. The other thing is I honestly believe he really gets the club, the values and expectations that come with it. He may like a joke or two at BH but he's no fool. These players are setting the standards new players have to meet. There's no place for lazy arse, prima donnas or sulkers if you're not in the first XI.

Dean Smith has brought this fantastic collective culture to the club but he couldn't maintain it without the likes of SJM. I thought Bailey might come in a bit Billy Big Bollocks but like every new signing to date, he seems to have bought in to who and what we are trying to achieve. Long may it continue.

Bravearse always gives his all.  When he's below par it's because he's carrying a knock or recovering to get back to his best.  When he's at his best, like on Saturday there's nobody I'd rather have in the side in his position.  He's another leader on the field too.

He's unique, I can't think of another player quite like him, and I love him all the more for it. He gets knocked for his passing at times but he's brave, he doesn't look for the easy ball each time, and that ball to Cash on Saturday was as good as you will see.

I too wouldn't take anyone over him, hope he's with us till he hangs up his boots.

He reminds me a bit of Milner.   Not directly in how they play, but how their ‘force of will” means the whole way exceeds the sum of the parts.

Definitely with you, he’s a fantastic player and the biggest engine we’ve had since Milner left.

I was thinking similar, but thought of a kind of Roy Keane minus the malice.

Why isn't McGinn taking the pens for Scotland?

Because Barry is.
Oh, no wrong thread / wrong era / wrong nationality.
