I think when he's back I'd go

GK
Gilbert Engels Mings Targett
Nakamba Luiz
El Ghazi McGinn Jack
Samatta

If El Ghazi reverts to massive fanny mode, stick Elmo in instead.

That would be my team, apart from starting Hourihane instead of Luiz - Luiz seems to offer more coming off the bench, and Hourihane’s set pieces could be vital.

Crying out for McGinn in that midfield ..Smith has a dilemma now weather to bring him in for minutes v Chelsea or hold him back.
The rest of midfield is just so up and down and lacking energy and drive that it will be a super uplift whenever he comes in

Before he got injured, he was struggling with form.  Hopefully the rest has done him some good. We do need him back, even if it's just to replace the heavily over-rated Douglas Luiz and Hologram.

Come on mate. Maybe out of sight out of mind syndrome but SJM is awesome and would improve that midfield 100%
He's a stark contrast and a level above anything currently in the squad.
And also I think his slump in form was due to the injury he sustained with Scotland and needed a break

I for one cannot wait and think he can be a saviour
My lordy we need something !

No pressue John

We just need you to come back at 100%, playe every minute of the last 10 games, single handedly turn the recent shit show into a winning team and keep us up.  Then persuade your mate Jack to sign a new 5 year contract.

Sort this and we'll buy you some chips.

Cheers mate.

He needs to come back and have the same impact Jack had on the last 10 games of last season.

McGinn is the player I'd be hugely angry to see leave post-relegation. It is so rare we buy someone at a low price who has such quality and becomes a hero so quickly.
