See the Birmingham Mail were at it again the other day with a piece on how Alex Ferguson is interested in McGinn.  Bit of further reading and it turned out to be comments from a Scottish scout who thinks that Ferguson might be interested in McGinn and nothing actually from Ferguson himself.

Manufactured click bait that unfortunately perpetuates all these rumours.

It's a sad state of affairs that the largest local paper resorts to this to essentially stay in business - working against the local teams best interests.

... but enough has been said about how far that paper has gone downhill.

I was talking to a colleague at work about John McGinn and he said his flat mate (a Hibs fan) described McGinn as perpetually running like he’s just jumped out of a landing helicopter. I thought that was pretty accurate.

I enjoyed watching out for this today. I’d read something about him running like a helicopter or something early on and it made no sense. Now it does :)

Met Super John out on the town last night. Great guy, very willing to have a quick chat but I didn't bother him long. Seemed really down to earth and gracious. We both had birthdays this week, mine the day before his, and he seemed chuffed when I wished him a happy birthday.

Why would McGinn want to drop down the table by signing for Man U?

I met him at the same place.

I told him success has been so easy for you.
But don't forget, it's me who put you where you are now.

What were you guys AND SJM doing in town on a Saturday night? According to the Small Heath massive we're not allowed.

Surprised we weren't killed. Was afeared for me life the entire time, with the triumphant Zulu Army swarming the place

I think in time unless we break into the top 6 the pressure to really go for it will be too much for him and Tyrone. I think jack will be our Matt tiss

Assuming we stay up then we'll keep them all for at least one more season.  It will depend on where we are then as to how it pans out.

Given our owners and their obvious ambition I think we'll hold onto everyone next summer and then it'll be all about the business we do and how far we can push on. I suspect if we're not in Europe in the 21-22 season then we might start to see players looking elsewhere. If that happens how we use the big money that comes in will define the club we're going to be going forward.
