Briatore, Ecclestone and Mittal had a ton of money at QPR and made a complete fucking mess of it, let’s not get too carried away just yet eh?

As for Xia doing the right thing, it was the absolute least he could have done.

What would have to happen to make you not get carried away?  A 20 point head start due to us being unfortunate last time around?

This time yesterday it was "The target is to stay in the division by playing the youth team", today it is " our priority is to strengthen the squads and structures".

Come on, let your hair down and enjoy the moment.  We've had  4 or 5 weeks of sheer hell.

You’ll forgive my pessimism given the last 2 clowns we’ve had as owners, this isn’t some brilliant businessman who’s pulled off some coup, this is a man who’s run the club into the ground almost and has had to mortgage a car park to pay the bills. Time will tell whether this is a good deal or not.

Can we now just employ some PROPER football people, alongside business principles and run the club how it should be run!

Oh, and get rid of Steve Bruce as a start!

How could it possibly not be a good deal?

The alternative was administration, a points deduction and almost certain relegation.  The new owners/future owners are seriously wealthy and have a vast amount of experience.  They are everything that Xia is not.

Carry on beating yourself up for "beating yourself up" sake if you wish but don't expect anyone else to join in with your suicide theme.

Finished on site for the last time, starting a perfect new job on Monday, in Hotel Du Vin now waiting for my wife to go and celebrate her 40th, and then this drops.

This has bookended a truly shit 12 months personally, I'm absolutely made up.

Congratulations, and yes seems good!

Cheers mate, I love being a jammy Villa bastard again.

How could it possibly not be a good deal?  Well there’s about a million reasons why not and nobody outside of the Villa boardroom knows the fine print.

I’m happy Xia has found a backer, but I’m not getting carried away just yet, there’s no magic cure for us and it will take time.

I can confirm that i (Ecclestone) have never had a ton of money,
and if I did it would be spent on a holiday home somewhere near Antibes and not on QPR

Our situation today is far far better than it was 2 days ago. I'm not sure how that's anything but something to enjoy for the next few days.
