So with Dr Del Boy saying he would welcome carefully scrutinised strategic investment is everyone ready to rule him out being a genuine billionaire as he wouldn't need any kind of investment if he had any cash himself.

In reality, nothing has changed since the day before the play off final.

We knew (the fans) that if we didn’t get promoted it would be tough, mainly because of FFP.
we knew we would probably lose Jack and maybe one or two others, and knew the loanees would go back.

The only real question was whether Bruce would survive which, unfortunately, he has.

Everything that has transpired since, seems based on heresay, scaremongering, bullshit and tabloid bollox.
We are no different from every other club who has to operate within their means and make the best of what they have.
The only mistake, for me, is that we are keeping Bruce, but I see the sense and benefit in keeping the continuity that brings, given all the other upheaval going on behind the scenes.

The long and the short of it is this.

We are now an established championship club and have to operate as such. We gave it a fucking good go for 2 years, failed, and are now paying the consequences.

I don't think anyone thought it would be this bad to be honest, I certainly didn't envisage a winding up order.
If that was a fucking good go for 2 years, God knows what it would have been like if we hadn't.

I get all the level headed responses, I really do. But what really bugs me is how flippant people are with the realisation we are going to sell our best players. 3 names mentioned in the last 2 pages - Grealish, Chester, Kodjia. How many points have they won us on their own over the last two seasons? A bucket load. It’s been proven time and time again, a team of good players will only excel with 2 or 3 stars that add the X factor. There is nobody else that can carry us. They go, we stay down for the foreseeable future. Our kids won’t fill the gaps and keep us at the same level as last season.

Basically mismanagement on such a scale that we won't be competing at Championship top level and have to go down the route of selling anyone any good and replacing with kids and nobodies.

And the manager and owner who have led us to this pile of shit will still be making the decisions.

Brilliant.

the statement itself is actually quite impressive, lots of information and detail, can’t complain about that

what it actually says is less so, most importantly Bruce staying is still the biggest mistake Xia will make, but if you keep going with the same manager you will keep going round in circles

An example; he has basically said Spurs will sign Grealish and it will most likely be for 20m a Levy will have his pants down. I’m sure that if we had someone like Levy in charge, 20m could be raised through the sale of others - Lansbury 4-5m, hogan 5m, McCormack 2m, let Richards go on a free,Elmohammady 2m, De Laet 1m, Whelan 1m, Adomah 4m. But we won’t do that as we are not smart enough, we will take the easy money on our best players and condemn ourselves to the next few years down here

Didn’t really say anything of substance in his latest brief. These are worrying times with tom dick and Harry knowing we are having a fire sale.  Look at the squad that is in pre season camp and it hits you like a brick. What is annoying though are cheap efforts by the club to involve supporters with the much maligned new away scheme and major change to becoming a mascot. The club loses respect with such stupidity

I totally agree.
I wish I could give a level headed response and put a brave face on, I'm certainly old enough too.

Unfortunately I'm fuming.

Yep, a bland statement and people are rolling over to have their tummy tickled, it’s a disgrace and Xia and Bruce, the architects of this clusterfuck  and are still here.
God help us.

What are you suggesting these people who you say are 'having their tummy tickled' do then?

At the risk of getting the life and soul party accountants out of bed, pretty sure it was explained it's not as simple of meeting the defecit by selling likes of McCormack and Hogan for knock down fees as it will still be counted as losses in accounts and so wouldn't meet the 40m needed for FFP.

Could be wrong though!

If you're going to post opinions, people are going to reply. It's the way a forum works. It was a clever way of wriggling out of the question though, i'll give you that.

Yeah, let's get angry on the Internet. That'll show we mean business.
