36 years on if it takes another miss-hit goal and a backs-to-the-wall 1-0 victory, I won't be complaining.

Our fans will own the stadium and make it very loud.
Fulham will play well then slowly crumble.

Every one of us will need to make a real effort and spur the lads on. They have clappers you know lol

The Villa fans will do their bit, didn't you love it against boro the last fifteen minutes , " Claret and Blue Army" belting out. Today Fulham will shit themselves at the Villa support.

On the pitch their manager was a gift , what a wonderful thing to say, if that don't give us an edge:

All this talk about this good football team ffs its Fulham and what do they have two / three players, again like boro their weakness is their defence. so with our tired old experienced players and manager, we'll give it a go. UTV.

It's been a long time since I was this nervous prior to a game. I just want it over and done with and us back in the premiership.

Wish it was an earlier kick off, can't stand another 10 hours of this. Think I'm going to have a whisky to calm the nerves.

Went out for an early walk, thinking "this time tomorrow it will all be over".

OK. Time to go. Let's do this....

Heading down shortly. Come on you lions! If the Villans on the pitch do their job (a clean sheet would help) and the Villans in the stands do theirs (a wall of noise), we can do this!!!! UTV, VTID!

At last the day is here. Time will judge the enormity of it, but I think it's more important than any of us realise.

If it goes our way, make the most of it because days like today don't come around often.

It's men vs boys
It's Lions vs Tarquins waving white flags
It's History & prestige vs the anonymous
It's 26th May

Made our way down last night when we heard about the train chaos. Fuck it! Today's the day boys and girls lets raise the roof and have some fun. We need the same performance and attitude we had for the wolves game from players and fans alike. We we're all getting caught up in the hype then and we blew them away. Fuck em. We're ASTON VILLA.

I've been getting progressively nervy during the past week, but I'm feeling strangely becalmed now our big day is finally here. I sincerely hope the team turn up with the same passion, energy and belief that'll be coursing through the veins of every Villain today. If they do, we'll see cuddly little Fulham & their sycophantic mates in the London me-ja grizzling into their chai lattes. So at the opening blast of the referee's whistle: unleash Hell.

Strength & Honour.

UTV
