Surely Man united in 2010, Liverpool 2015 semi and Arsenal in final should have had a larger allocation than us😉

There were 2000 of us at Boro and 25000 of them and it didn't give them an edge on the pitch or in volume.

Mixing tourists among the small number of them who do make a bit of noise is going to make them flatter than they always are. Twatty clappers wont make up for it.
This is just nonsense.

So in their shoes your suggestion would be let the opposition have approx 55,000 tickets and we'll take approx 25,000?  If so, thank fuck you're not involved in any strategy for the club.

The only nonsense is your bizarre interpretation of my post.

In years gone by, clubs like Hull and Wigan who have similarly small followings like Fulham, returned tickets so their opponents with larger support could go.

You have been supporting the stance Fulham should have returned tickets so Villa could have them rather than sell them in the way they have been.  Following that rationale, if we were in their shoes you would be advocating giving back tickets so the opposition fans could have them.  I can't see how that is a bizarre interpretation at all.

We're not in their shoes or ever likely to be in a situation where we're getting 17,000 home fans, not accounting for neutrals, gifting a quarter of our ground to others and deliberately attempting to create a secondary ticket market, which directly influences touting. So as I say, I find your 55,000 etc analogy a bit bizarre or nonsense if you prefer.

The point is, we're not incapable of selling our allocation. Fulham are, which is why the club told their trust the other day they wanted a secondary market hence the 5 tickets if you can spell Fulham rule.

I find it objectionable that seats will be empty in the ground because of the greed of Fulham season ticket holders or that people have been forced into buying tickets above face value.

John Terry 16/1 to score in the 90 mins at anytime on Saturday.

I had to have a flutter on that.

I still fancy Kodjia to miraculously find his shooting boots. But I's take a goal or two from anyone.

I accept that it’s not an holistic or credible approach where a club sells their entire allocation knowing full well that it will lead to abuse however as a business transaction they are fully justified to do so. As there is no criteria where allocation to clubs can be based on their average attendance we have to accept the current strategy and if allocation had been based on say average attendance we would have lost out in the past.

I said IF we were in their shoes - ie we had the smaller support base.  The analogy is perfectly rationale, it is just flipping the circumstances you are commenting on.

It would be daft for any club to hand an advantage to their opposition in such an important game which is exactly what you are suggesting they should have done.  I find that bizarre.

But we're not in their shoes. Plenty other clubs have been and they've looked after their core support and done the right thing by returning tickets they're incapable of selling, not deliberately creating a touts paradise.

Even if there was 38,000 Fulham there on Saturday, which there wont be, it would not be a level playing field noise wise in any event so what advantage you think is being spurned is beyond me. I assume you've been to Craven Cottage which is akin to Wimbledon, minus the strawberry and Pimms.

Who actually sells the tickets for this event (ie the FA sell the tickets for the semi and final of the FA Cup)?  I guess whoever it is doesn't really care who gets them (unless it is a match where there is a potential for violence) as long as they shift the amount of tickets they want to.

The bookies have Fulham as favourites. They also have Alan Hutton to score at 33/1. Not sure if anybody else has noticed but he's been wearing his shooting boots recently. It's time one of those shots go in. Preferably the winner.

my eldest reckons he’s seen it in a dream

Does ‘anytime’ include extra time if it happens, I know it says anytime but you know what bookies are like

There are a handful of tickets available on the official Villa site now. Don't know why as Its supposedly sold out.

I know its on the wrong thread but people might not see it on the tickets and travel thread.
