I was invited for lunch at the weekend and there was an English bloke there. He was all "Oh we'll be just fine after Brexit" and "Actually we're vegans, you know"

We were having coffee after the meal and he said "We have a connection, you know: I support Fulham" So I said "Really? May the best team win, and all that" and he replied "We will, don't worry!" Cheeky ******!

I get the impression Fulham's fan think it's a foregone conclusion they will win.

I'm not nervous at all, well not yet anyway. I'm looking forward to it more than anything.

Define 'best'.
- the team that plays pretty football to the normal conventions of a 'footballing side'? - or, the one that wins.
I know it is not exactly binary like that but this is exactly the thing about Wenger that used to boil my piss: he would come into a post-match p.r. after having lost to Stoke or Burnley or A.N Other small club and complain that "they didn't play proper football".

I want us to play expansively and convincingly on Sunday and for Fulham and other fans to say: "yes; on the day they were the better side". I don't want us to go through having had 1 shot on goal and 15% possession - but I'll take it!!

So again: FTF!

I'm bricking it, a massive game for our beloved club, we need the spirit of Rotterdam 1982. I am hoping the experience we have will give us a big advantage.

Short term wise an even greater game.  Our immediate future will be dertermined over one game.  Just remember though  Fulham don't win finals.

My nerves started before the Boro away leg and haven’t subsided. This match is my first thought on waking. No idea which way it will go but just hope we turn up this time. Apart from the Liverpool semi final we’ve been a big disappointment so often. Four more sleeps as the grandchildren say.....

I can't bring myself to predict the result.

If we turn up and play our best, we can win.
If they turn up and play their best they can win.

It's that simple isn't it ? it's a proper 50/50 game where anything can happen.

If we do it, GREAT. If we don't then we'll just have to try again next season. No point collapsing in despair if we don't make it.

My mantra all season has been 'what will be will be' and i'm not changing it now.

Snodgrass's deliveries can cause havoc for their backline this weekend. Pace and Jack on a wembley pitch can really do damage if were on song!
Nerves, excitement, anxiety, kid at xmas feel is how i am feeling this week. All with an added level of not being able to concentrate at work.

A nice early rendition of "you can stick your f*cking clappers up your arse" will scare Hugo and his pals.

DC5 is correct however I am not sure if an hostile environment can be created by the crowd at Wembley.
We're you at the Liverpool semi final? Our end was very hostile and very loud. Had several Liverpool supporters say that to us after the game. On our day we can raise havoc and Fulham are about to experience it. The old saying goes "the players can't afford to leave anything in the dressing room" (I mean effort wise pedants) and equally the fans can't afford to leave anything in the pub.
