It was a proper team performance. Every man jack of them put in a shift. Why anyone would want to pick out below par performances is just bizarre.

It did sound a little flat on the tellybox, what happened with the giant flag, I was looking forward to seeing it ?

Were boro singing where you were when you were shit after the game?

No, we were to the wankers on the pitch.

Johnstone was a bit lucky but you make your own luck. Handling was good generally. Hutton was great, Bree grew into the game. Terry and Chester were solid, as was Jedinak. Albert and Snodgrass worked really hard. Grealish was class, although too deep for my liking but really disciplined. Hourihane was snappy and disciplined. Grabban and Kodjia worked hard. Jimmy Danger was loving it when he was kidnapped by the fans.

Not a classic by any means but our game management was very good tonight. Disciplined, reliable and we still managed way more efforts on goal than them.

Running on the pitch lacks class and prevented us from celebrating properly with the players and fans.

No that was most of the upper tier at the lower tier invading the pitch.

There were plenty in the Lower giving them pelters as well. There were an alarming amount of middle aged pissed fat blokes determined to get on.

First half was nervy on and off the pitch. The crowd were shitting ourselves and it meant a quiet and nervous atmosphere.
Second half was much better. Loudest I've heard for years in some spells. The claret and blue army chants towards the end with the whole ground up were deafening.

Also curious as to what happened with the flag? Did they balls it up? Did they scrap it because of the pitch invasion?

Summed Pulis up, must win game with over £100m at stake, and they manage 0 attempts on target. He really is an abomination of a manager.

Scrapped because of the pitch invasion.

I thought the atmosphere was great especially towards the end when the finish line was in sight.

Was the flag the thing that was suspended above the Holte End? Were they going to drop it down?

A flag that is going to block the view is a strange one anyway. Drop it while the players are in front of the Holte so as it blocks the view for everyone behind it? And where was it in 2015/16 when it would have improved the view?

What was that large banner hanging from the Holte? I was expecting it to drop at FT, it never happened.

I thought we were pretty comfortable throughout, the free kick was a bit nervy but that aside they didn’t have a sniff. We didn’t create a lot but we didn’t need to

My MOM was Jedinak who was immense but that’s the best I’ve seen Hourihane play for us, he tracked diligently and pressed or held at exactly the right times

Well done Bruce, tactically faultless in this tie

Totally called it.
Is Mike Dean the prick who celebrated Spurs scoring against us?
The very same. Boro fans are well chuffed that he's reffing the game at villa park. (I popped in on one of their forums and I have a relation who is a big Boro fan)

You're not wrong!

but the really amazing news is the away leg we've got riverside mike dean so we've pretty much won lads.

I take it they've been beneficiaries of his decisions in the past.

Don't matter. Win the first leg of the semi 1-0, see out the second 0-0, and off to Rotterdam Wembley on the 26th.

Now for my hat-trick, I just need Pulis to announce his retirement. Come on Tony, you know you want to...
