Why did Bruce start Taylor? A liability from the start. Thankfully Hutton replaced him. Got to start Hutton every time now. Also, no point in Whelan the DM role. Onomah should've started all day long.

I thought Whelan had a good game today

He was excellent. Anyone who can’t see that - well I despair really

Agreed. I thought he had a great game yesterday. It’s just unpopular to say so because it’s Whelan.

Taylor was awful.
Glad they upped in the 2nd half, although we should have been ahead in the first.

We still have not learned the way to score when we're on top ...

The last sentence is a bit bizarre to be honest. We have done that quite a few times this season. Today was one of them.
Not really. Throughout the first half, for example, we pressed and were clearly dominant but failed to break them down. Bolton away, we had a 20-25 minutes spell where we should have turned dominance into at least one goal. Likewise at Hull, Norwich ... I'm just making the point that the best sides turn superiority into goals and we are not so good at it.
And, yes: I accept that we're 4th so I'm perhaps being a little harsh!

You've mentioned two games out of 45 and like I said, we were on top yesterday and we scored. We were on top last week and scored.

We have scored 72 goals as well, most since 07/08 which was aided by 4 at home to Bolton, 6 at Derby and 5 against some small shit club.

Onomah has upped it past few weeks. Certainly in contention for Boro.

Played very well today in running at players

I thought he provided that bit of drive to varry the ball on against a tiring Derby.

It was quite comical that they were consistently holding a line 20 yards out, with all their players condensed in 10 yards.

Was a nightmare to get a drink at half time in the Upper Trinity.

You'd think with it being close for most of the last 18 months they could've put in an extra kiosk or two for food and drink.

It was a joke even before KO. Staff dont seem to have a clue. Not sure how difficult it is to have a load of beers poured / unbottled and lined up to hand over

Upper Holte was the same, took 20 minutes to get served

Met some derby lot on the train and with a straight face claimed we were shit and they should have won!? I was clearly at a different game. Battered them and have no idea how we didn’t win

well, I mentioned 4 games including yesterday. And, yes, we did prevail yesterday - eventually. There have been other times in the season where we have failed to take advantage: Sheff Utd and Sheff Wednesday at home spring to mind, but I haven’t kept a detailed record.
My bigger point is that good sides are more effective at making pressure pay; I personally think that we are not so good at it.

We're not going to score in every game though, as good as that would be. We had a bloody good go yesterday though and got the goal we deserved and should have had more. I haven't kept a detailed record either but games like Wolves, Norwich, Sheff Weds, Ipswich, Burton, Bristol City, Blues, Barnsley, Sheff Utd, Sunderland, Reading etc  suggests that we do score when we're on top.

He's done well the last few games now.  He is fine playing the holding role in a three man midfield and I would keep him in the side to be honest.

Agree with most posters on here, probably the most entertaining draw we've had all season. Deserved to win by a canter but lessons learnt will strengthen us in the play-offs, onwards and hopefully upwards.

Like most on here i enjoyed the game .I am still wondering how we never won the match Worst part of the day was having to wait  from 5 30 pm to 7 10 pm at Witton Station for a train back to Wolverhampton. According to the police at the station ,the trains were delayed due to Northampton fans fighting Walsall fans and then the police .Who would have thought that.
