Well given our new co-owner's other interests, I fully expect us to be wearing adidas next season...

He's only got a 5% stake, i can't see that happening after the success of this seasons Luke/Fanatics venture.

So successful that you can't buy it.

Because it was so successful

That’s some success.

Except it isn't because it's not on sale, and it won't be on sale during one of the busiest sale periods of the year. That is not a success. That, however you might want to dress it up in utterly nonsensical 750% claims, is a total failure.

Suppose it depends how you determine success, they've successfully met the 'demand' for their initial print run and successfully ensured there is demand for the new shirt from the hundreds or possibly thousands who are pissed off because they are unable to buy the shirt with the new season fast approaching. A Trump type 'success'.

After seeing the shop almost completely devoid of kit yesterday, I'd be interested to know how many other clubs in the League are in the same situation.

For those craving blue sleeves look at the monstrosity that is the Burnley kit - and wtf is that logo on the front
Truly horrendous kit  - makes our effort look like a work of art

Oh yeah, that logo is dismal. Looks all wonky and shit.

Popular - yes, successful - no. Successful would mean having to constantly restock to meet demands, selling out suggests a lack of faith and understanding in what fans expected.

Got my lad a kit yesterday size 4/5yrs (only three left in that size), kits come up big though as was after a 6/7 but non at all in that size as issues getting them in stock. Went back today to get name and number on once knew it fitted him. There was hardly anything left. More kids kits back in Tuesday. There was also hardly any training gear in.
No adults shirts until th 31st August as according to staff they’d sold two months worth of shirts in two weeks.
The quality of the kit is superb but a bit disappointing that we can’t keep up with demand.

To be fair, you could drive up to the shop and be the only ones in there most of the time, even after a kit launch, but I’ve been twice since the kit came out and it’s been packed both times with most people clutching one of the new shirts.

It is a symptom of how the club has been run commercially for a good number of years, whenever I am in Brum from the Middle East I always go to the club shop and never fail to be let down buy the quality of what is on sale and the choice, I end up buying something but have never walked out of there feeling, great this is the bees knees and that is not just on about kits, but the whole range of merchandise is poor.

I’m gobsmacked that we won’t have any shirts for sale for the entirety of the main summer month as well as our first 3 home games. We really are a fucking shitshow sometimes. Was going to drive down there tomorrow and pick a couple up for me and the lad. Absolute morons

You have had weeks to buy one of course. You can't be that gobsmacked

Well, I work full time and have 2 young kids. I’m also one of those awkward people that falls between sizes depending on the store and seeing as it’s a new manufacturer I wanted to try the shirt on rather than ordering online and having the rigmarole of sending stuff back. The new deal means I can’t just nip down the local sports direct or JD sports like I could in the past. But regardless of my personal circumstances, that is completely irrelevant to my surprise that the club whilst under so much pressure to meet FFP didn’t have the foresight or contingency planning to ensure one of our key revenue streams was maintained through the peak opportunity period for sales. Thanks for your opinion though.
