Pass me my nightie Basil, the blue one.

This one?

Is it blue?

Well it’s got blue on it.

It’s not blue then is it.

The restocks have already been dispatched but won't be in stock for a month? Are they sending them using one-winged carrier pigeons?

I'd imagine the factory is in China and they're on a boat, which is an 8 week journey.

Makes an absolute mockery of all that "faster to market" bollocks they came out with when the Luke/Fanatics deal was announced.
All the ones I’ve bought for my kids have made in Bangladesh on them. Transportation systems not as good as China ? 🤔

Probably not  - back in the day. when i dealt with the Indian subcontinent, was no surprise to see letters of credit that actually specified" Wind-propelled vessels not permitted".

The kit has won the GQ vote for best EFL kit for the new season.

But the fact Blues off peg monstrosity came third probably voids any relevance to the poll.

This made laugh, which happens to blind and no sense of direction.

It has been quoted that sales of new shirt is 700% up on last year - not sure anyone would have predicted that for a brand new  designer, manufacturer and distributor. If it had a been a flop then we would have been lumbered with thousands of pounds worth of shirts no one wanted.

Supply has to be in line with demand

This.

Anyway, if anyone wants to (pre) order one via Kitbag he's a 20% off code

VCUKBAG20

And if you go via topcashback you can get another 7% back as well

So if sales of shirts increased by over 200% 2 years ago and by a further 700% this year, we must be flogging more shirts than Barcelona?

I love the new shirt but I can smell corporate bullshit from a mile away. Someone's fucked up.

Its pretty unfortunate that it's out until the end of the month. Although 'limited stock' releases are an increasingly successful marketing strategy now so I wouldn't be surprised if they did it out of trying to create rarity/exclusivity while at the same time peddling the 700% rubbish as Chico said.

Supply has to be in line with demand

They said they could cope with demand and that was the big plus point of this deal. Instead we'll have no shirts on sale for most of August including when the season starts. No matter how anyone wants to try and spin it, that's piss poor.

Quote
As both retail partner and kit manufacturer, Fanatics will operate a full vertical-manufacturing model, meaning the new kit, bearing the LUKE 1977 brand logo, will be managed by a single company from production to point-of-sale. This means fan merchandise enjoys faster speed-to-market in an increasingly on-demand world.

Yes the speed to market is determined by wether you airfreighted or used Paddy Mcgintys goat who is currently taking a well earned summers break in Galway.

But they HAVE been available ... so let's not forget that. The people who wanted it the minute it came out got it

The rest will have to wait a bit. I'm not sure it's going to cause them too much grief to wait a few more weeks when the season lasts until next May
