When has a yellow kit ever looked amazing? Unless by amazing you mean literally "causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing"

Good question. When it's Brazil yellow would be my answer. But we never use that shade

I sit next to a Brazilian in work and we chatted about this the other day. In his own words: "Blue away kit - beautiful. Yellow home kit? Not on me."

Conveniently echoes my own views on the subject of yellow kits :D

The yellow and blue kit was pretty smart when we played the Italian under 21's in a pre season friendly at Villa Park early 1970`s - the team had been on a preseason tour to Majorca I think and all the players were well tanned - many in the crowd thought those in yellow coming out of the player's tunnel were Italians and were roundly booed!
It set a trend for later years where they now get booed going down the tunnel :) :

Third kit coming in a few weeks OS says

Hopefully the same design as the home kit but yellow with claret sides.  That would look amazing.

Yellow and claret?  I'm not Gok Wan or anything, but that sounds especially horrible.

From the OS

Quote
We promised that the three-way partnership with Luke 1977 and Fanatics was not only ground-breaking but would also put our fans first.

As well as listening to supporter sentiment on the actual design – including the introduction of a more traditional claret – we have also lowered prices for the new products when compared to last season.

The adult shirt will be retailing at £50 – which is a saving of £5.

The kids top is £40 – again a reduction of £5.

The kids full kit is £70, which will save you £10.

Our infant kit is £35 while the baby kit is £30 – both are reduced by £5.

£50 instead of £55.

£70 for a kid's kit and £30 for a baby one.

Jesus Christ, that really is 'putting the fans first' isn't it?

I liked the yellow Hanson kit

There was also the third kit in the early 90's and the Hummel kit in 2005/06 which were nice.

I've still got mine of this, highly doubt it would fit these days though.

I bought one of those at the time, too. I thought it was one of the most lovely things I'd ever seen.

I had it too. My mum threw it away, just because it didn't fit anymore. Ridiculous behaviour.
