Maybe we should replace the Lion on our badge with a T-Rex then ;)

I don't what the deal between the club, the designer Luke and the manufacturer entails, but I'd imagine there'd be worries abouut getting paid.

Fanatics pay for the cost of manufacturing and distribution. LUKE will be paid under their terms for every unit made and they take a large slice of the profit on sale as they own the logistics and have "in-housed" manufacturing at a local level.

Does anyone know when the new kit is launched, or are we so skint we will be playing in skins next season?

All I have found is this from the Birminghambait:

"An exact date has yet to be revealed for the launch of the new kit, deigned by Villa fan Luke Roper, of Luke 1977, but the club have explained it will be in 'early July'."

Once we've decided if we are actually going to play any games of course. We might be extinct before they release it.
You are so negative  :)

He is negative, but can you blame him? Sometimes negativity doesn't sit with an individual, it's institutional. Our club is a fecking joke right now, few could argue that, and acknowledging that and being angry about it is perfectly justified.

Ha, I was kidding!

Oh I got that it was tongue-in-cheek. Just feeling the frustration in here too

If they haven’t launched any kit or training wear images I guess the return to preseason training website content will stop at players walking across car park :-)

At least they’re not doing a cringeworthy festival-style launch this year.
I quite liked that. We took a friends lad with us who was a Man You fan at that time. He's now a villa season ticket holder.

The trainingwear has been previewed on the OS.

Quote
New training wear 2018/19: First shots

Here’s a further look at the first collection in our trainingwear range for the upcoming 2018/19 campaign.

This is what the players will be wearing in pre-season – starting at the trip to Portugal and onwards into friendly matches with Telford, Kidderminster, Walsall, Burton Albion, West Ham United and Dynamo Dresden.

The tops are primarily Hawaiian Ocean Blue with a hint of Festival Fuchsia on the cuffs and within a motif on the back.

These are more vibrant versions of our famous claret and blue – and have been added to our colour palate for this season and beyond.

They’ve been introduced to offer a more energetic, vocal and radiant feel to our brand guidelines.

The badge across the range is rubberised – it’s our mono crest – black on a Hawaiian Ocean Blue background.

The shorts and socks will be black.

The version worn by the first team players will feature the Unibet logo – while those retailed to supporters will be plain.

Stay tuned to our Online Store for details of when products will become available.
[/size]

I quite like it, personally.

At least we'll look fairly good when we go into administration.

IMO looks shit, cheap, Sunday league. Is the colour claret not allowed anymore?

I’m not sure I want “more vibrant versions of our claret and blue” . I’ll take plain and simple claret and blue if it’s ok with Luke.

Decent. Appealed to the younger fans i know already. I'm not a big turquoise fan myself though.

Looking forward to the kit now, and the inevitable moans from folks who have no intention of buying it anyway :)

Turquoise doesn't look very slimming to me.

Don't see what your last point has to do with anything.  As a rational consumer I usually have no intention of buying the rip off shit whatever it looks like.  I don't see why that should conflict with me also wanting the team to be playing in their traditional colours in the traditional claret body/blue sleeves design.

Might be just me but despite the space age colours the training tops look quite old school to me, particularly the long sleeve.

I don't hate the design. I do hate the UNIBET font plastered on front but at least it won't be on the retail replicas.
