Hendry was quick to spot the really important concern over this:

Quote
Speaking on the BBC Red Button, at the time of the incident, seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry said: "I have never seen that before at a snooker event. It's a first.

"It is scary. Wow! You just hope the cloth can be recovered from that. It caught us all by surprise and then this happens.

"For me, straight away as a snooker player I am thinking: 'Is the table recoverable?' We don't know what that is on the table."

Si Juahui wins an epic contest vs Shaun Murphy in the deciding frame. No-fear snooker from the twenty-year-old.

Making his Crucible debut, it was a very impressive win for Jak Jones beating Neil Robertson 13-7.

Has anyone spotted the Coventry shirt guy in the crowd this year? I haven't seen him, at least not yet.

Yep I've seen him but only for one match, can't remember which one.

He has been there…think they banned football shirts though

You wouldn’t want tickets for today…potential the afternoon session is over in 2 frames and tonight might only last 5 frames over the 2 tables

Big turn up, Ronnie knocked out, beaten by Luca Brecel 13-10.

Luca Brecel made the greatest Crucible comeback ever, coming from 14-5 down to beat Si Jiahui 17-15, which included winning 11 frames in a row.

This Allen v Selby semi-final has been a bit of a war of attrition.

Neither player’s been close to their best. Looks like Selby’s match.

Brecel’s a great player, fearless. Love the tattoos on his hands and knuckles….
