The perceived lack of atmosphere that QV keeps going on and on and on about can also be attributed to the acoustics in the stadium depending upon where the listener is located.

We created more chances second half, but were more wasteful in the first 20 minutes or so with possession.

Leeds went from being absolutely woeful to poor and didn't come close to mounting a threat.

I thought the Leeds team was full of energy but very naive. Their shooting reminded me of how much I don’t miss Tonev. Fair play to their fans they turned up and were very noisy. And the fact that Leeds still have a good following despite years  and years of shit being served to them however historically I hate their fans and the club. So actually they deserve all that shit😂

By no means a vintage performance very wasteful with our possession at times. Grealish was superb, Snodgrass awful but he kept trying, Whelan very solid, Onomah very good and despite some of the criticism on here I thought Kodjia played well considering he was only going to be fit enough for about 60 minutes. Thought Grabban was very useful as well. Job done, and attention turns to Cardiff and Fulham today.

Well I expected the atmosphere to be awful where I was in the corporate bit and I was surprised how good the atmosphere felt from there. Could hear the Holte regularly and loudly at times, and the atmosphere bounced around the ground from Holte to North Stand to Leeds fans. There was even a bit of singing where we were at times because The Holte was loud enough for us to join in!

I thought that with all of their injuries/suspensions, we could and should have beaten them by quite some margin.

If we are to keep the dream alive, we need Fulham and Cardiff to slip up twice in 4 and 5 games respectively. Even then, it could well go down to goal difference and we had a golden opportunity to ensure ours would be better than the other 2 last night.

Yes, I appreciate that it's a long shot and if my Uncle had been my Aunt etc but I cannot let go of the dream whilst it is still possible. I am terrified of the play offs like some people are terrified of tarantulas and will continue to pray for a miracle.

The perceived lack of atmosphere that QV keeps going on and on and on about can also be attributed to the acoustics in the stadium depending upon where the listener is located.
It's been the same ever since the holte got rebuilt. The fact that it's two tier and fecking huge means a lot of the singing dissipates into the ether. The answer is quite simple. The main bulk of the singing needs to come from the lower holte a where they would be more audible and more visible. But I think that's unlikely due to the amount of people who've had their seats in the lower holte for a long time.

Sorry. I'll try harder in future.

We can only be terrified of play offs whilst there is still a little hope of auto however when that disappears this weekend of next we will be delighted and relishing the opportunity earned.

This is Villa - we'll go into the last day with auto still being on, and then miss out due to a 97th minute Millwall equaliser.

You are correct Edge. Lower Holte is full of long sitting old codgers. I mean RE at 47 had probably fallen asleep at kick off time (says someone considerably older). Answer is to ban anyone over 30 from sitting in lower Holte.  Lower North is the place for noise full of young ones.

That's an interesting point. I've been standing/sitting in the Holte for yonks but now I have kids have ventured into other parts of the ground and the sound often seems less than I know it would be if I was sat there. Thought the atmosphere was OK last night.

Very true, especially if we end up in 4th place.

The only thing I would question is whether we earned it. I think it stinks that a team who finishes 6th has the same opportunity to go up than the team who finishes 3rd. I know it makes exciting watching and generates a bit of cash but if 3 places are available, they should go to the 3 teams who really have earned them, ie the top 3.

I'd also say that we bought it rather than earned it.

If they will insist on having these evening games that kick off after my bedtime it's no wonder I can't sing loudly.

Spot on that's exactly how I viewed things last night - nice to walk away from Villa Park feeling like you got your money's worth - Hogan aside who just does not look interested.
I thought the atmosphere was good - Only downer on the night was the journey to and from B6 from the North West - the M6 is an absolute joke
