Rested players and did enough to win the game, decent first half and competent second. Grealish had another impressive game, that little scooped pass to Albert late on was particularly brilliant. The defence was solid, bringing Samba on with a few minutes left is a nice bit of insurance and something that might make the difference in the play offs.

Getting the train after the game, I felt sorry for the two young girls dressed to the nines for their big Friday night in town to suddenly be sorrounded by loads of scruffy, sweaty football fans. Small compensation in that it was a carriage of mostly middle aged blokes grumpy with being kept off the platforms for 20 minutes rather than the “tits out for the lads” brigade.

Great 3 points again, team and fans each playing their parts. It seems someone on here writes his/her posts for the benefit of opponent fans' forums. Sooooo sad!

I do wonder about the communication between WM Railways and the Club, surely some dialogue about tickets sales and expected crowd may lead to them putting on a suitable amount of trains. The 10.15 northward has three carriages and was ridiculously overcrowded, three NS bound trains came the other way whilst I was on the other platform.

Not a criticism of Villa obv.

I thought Sáiz looked very useful for Leeds when he came on, they looked a better team after that. Once it got into the last 20-25 minutes it was fairly clear we'd weathered any storm.

No, the number 21.

Well we’re officially in the play-offs. Christ I’m already nervous.

I'm excited but I know what you mean. We have a guaranteed shot at going up. 4 more points and we guarantee our opponent will be coming to a packed Villa Park under the lights.

I really don't understand any criticism of the lack of atmosphere last night - I was in the Holte and thought they were making a lot of noise.

It’s Quinton, ignore, it’s what he does. Wait for the end of the season when he publishes the spreadsheets with details of the atmosphere at each game and how good the opposition fans were in comparison.

I was in a Pub with the sound turned down and a band playing, the atmosphere was terrible.

There was a spell where the Leeds fans found encouragement with Hernandez trying to take out somebody in the upper North and they had a sing song for some time. They made a lot of noise for a small away following. But we responded and I thought it was a good atmosphere myself.

The only sheets he’ll produce will be wet.

Yes, I thought Leeds went very quiet again once they realised it wasn't happening for them.

I was going south and when we finally got up there the first one was New St only and was already pretty full with people who must have got on at Witton. What makes it more annoying was there was no stewards on Tuesday so was able to get straight on the platform. I should have just gone to the pub with the others.

I missed the second half after finding out my mate was in hospital: after getting T-Boned by a presumably blind driver doing an unannounced u-turn... (My pal now needs surgery on a smashed clavicle & a new motorcycle)

I got in to find we'd managed to snaffle the three points, but reports suggested we weren't as good in the second half. Still, I'm please for the back-to-back victories; & hopeful of building some momentum now for the Play Off's.

Up The Village.
