Sad to say it, but the one thing that worries me more than the prospect of this squad of players with this manager failing to get promotion is the prospect of this squad of players with this manager being promoted.

It took only 5 mins of that game to see that we lacked intensity and drive.
To me it was a carbon copy of how we approached the QPR game.

Tha fact the Norwich played at walking pace, and we were still standing off them was absolutely fucking criminal.

So many shit players, but special mention for Taylor who was total gash and Hourihane who ponces around like a fucking tosser.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, we have fucking bottled it, bottled it big style.

Whilst I see some folks are blaming Bruce yet again (despite picking the side i hoped)

We're blaming him because he's fucked up when we had a moment of opportunity. We're blaming him 'again' because it's happened again. I don't think that matters one fucking jot whether you were happy with the line-up at kick-off.

All of this.

We should have been flying for first 15-20 mins given their form of late. But no we instead decided to play at a friendly game pace with zero intensity. Thought we were crying out for a double change at half time but Bruce's subs are rarely proactive.

Special mention to Terry (second goal) and Chester (third) for their Micah Richards impressions. Grealish's goal should have been saved too.

Bruce is the problem, not the squad.

I'm finding that it helps by reminding myself it could be worse - we could be Sunderland

I've really loosing faith in this team.
To quote from Bob Dylan’s Positively 4th Street “ you say you’ve lost your faith, but that’s not where it’s at, you had no faith to lose, and you know it”. Speaks for me anyway.

In a sense Villa never let me down because to quote Teenage Fanclub (bear with me, I’m on a roll) from their classic song ‘The Cabbage ‘ ...”asked you for nothing, that’s what I got”. And talking of vegetables, Bruce has gorra goo Tom.

I really feel for Hogan. He works his socks off, makes great runs but our midfield don't see it, and then play the ball in the air when the central defenders easily beat him to it. If they played to his strengths you'd see a better player. Terrible performance and I really do not want to go up with this squad because we'd come straight back down.

What has happened to Adomah and snodgrass?
Their play is too predictable; they’re very easy to defend against.

Funnily enough I've had Orange Juice's 'Rip It Up' (& Start Again) going through my mind since the third goal went in today.

I thought we played okay in the first half but knew that we should have scored from at least one of several chances. The Murphy goal was cruel but Taylor gave him far too much space. Second half was like that at Hull, except that we conceded more goals.
I agree with an earlier poster that Davis - or at least Grabban - would have given the Naaarwich defence much more of a game.
The real worry is that (i) we’re on a downward trajectory, (ii) we continue to lack alternative plans when plan A fails, (iii) the manager seems to lack the insight to pick teams that present the oppo we face with real challenges; and, (iv) the players seem unable to lift themselves when under pressure.

Part of me is thinking that another season in this league will be necessary, to get rid of Potatohead and to develop a team that really wants it.

How can Bruce reintroduce the intensity and motivation required to be successful in the play-offs? I'm sorry but I just don't see it happening.
