They had a game plan. Rough us up, take advantage of the weather and it worked. The team was out-fought and Bruce was out-thought. Again.

This is correct, sickbeggar.

You could not fault the effort or application of the players.

One small side of the pitch was effectively shielded from the elements and Bolton used it to maximum advantage. Bruce does not give a fuck about analysis of the opposition, or conditions or anything really.  He just keeps on keeping on. Doing what he does.

The weather rendered the game a bit of a farce as the goal wouldn't have been scored in normal conditions but the team didn't try to change the style to take account of the conditions.

Given that QPR wouldn't have won that game if if it would have been played when it should have been, the weather hasn't helped us.

Hopefully, by the time the play offs happen, the sun will be out.

20 wins out of 38, that's some fucking luck we're having.
Yeh- almost as outlandish as blaming poor referring and weather conditions when we lose :)
I trust you got home safely from those "Dirty Northern Cxxxs"

You're talking shite. You're saying we're lucky. You might as well say it's God's will or Father fucking Christmas sprinkles fairy dust over us.

Anyone still like it in this division?
As a fan I naturally don't like shit performances from my team and obviously prefer high quality matches.
However, the state of the Premier League is diabolical. The top 6 are fairly predictable and yet serial Cup winners in Arsenal in 6th are roundly criticised by their 'fans'.Similarly with Everton in 9th..Below them it's almost just a desire to stay in the League and grab the money.10 teams still in the relegation mire.In the Championship 10 teams aiming for the play offs. There is far less fear in this division.
Who predicted Huddersfield for promotion and likewise with Cardiff ? Sunderland and Hull have struggled after relegation.
Villa should not be in this league but perhaps it's cynical old age but I can't get excited about the Premier League.

I agree.  Despite our ups n downs in this league over the last two seasons, it’s definitely been more fun than languishing at the drop in the PL.  We ain’t auto going up, so looks like the play offs. Which will be exciting.  So if we win the play offs we go up and get new manager, if we don’t, we get new a manager and piss it next season.

20 wins out of 38 isn't good enough though to keep pace with Warnock and a shite Cardiff team. Anything less than automatic promotion is a failure.

I'd be tempted to get rid of him even if we go up because the football under him in the Premier League would be McLeishesque and we'd be going to Watford and playing for a 0-0.

We were unlucky to lose, but didn't deserve to win. Was pleased with the RHM sub, but to then take off two wide men for two forwards seemed from the book of Paul Lambert subs. Play offs it is now, which isn't good enough, unless we go up. UTV

His use of subs tonight didn’t seem particularly well thought out.

Let’s hope that’s our blip done and we’ll go on another winning run until the end of the regular season.
