A special mention for the 4 Wolves morons Sat behind us in the Witton upper. Smug, mocking our fans and songs in the first half, stunned silence for most of the second. Their blank, gormless expressions at full time were a sight to behold.

Pete3206 did the 4 include a bald headed fella in a white jacket ? Passed them as they walked towards the Holte singing "we're Wolverhamoton, we're top  of the league" then did an about turn realising they were in the wrong place and headed back down Witton Lane.

Walking out of the ground last night I became convinced we are going up by one of the automatic places. We are scoring for fun at the moment and other than a 25 minute spell in the first half we dominated the league leaders. There was a togetherness between the fans and players that gave out an aura of invincibility. It is something that doesn’t happen very often and is a credit to all involved.

There were a group of them in one of the boxes in the corner of where the Holte meets the Trinity Road one of who fits that description.  They were giving it the big one when they scored, but just sat there stunned when the goals started raining in and the attention of the Holte turned on them.

My first VP game since the dying days of Sherwood, will have to get up more often. Not even a kid stood up on his seat directly in front of mine throughout (it's the Lower Holte, thems the breaks) could spoil the game, nor the view much when I craned me neck enough.
A suggested improvement on the opposition-baiting song, "Wanky wanky Wolverhampton Wanderers" might be more effective than two additional "wankys", while also making it clear that we are referring to Wolves and not Wycombe or Bray.
Actually on the train up from Euston, two of their fans got on  at Northampton and, spotting my scarf, decided to sit next to me. Good lads, in their 20's who knew their football and were proud rather than cocky about their team. Even offered me a tin of Grolsch.

First train back to New St from Witton was a full hour and a half after the game ended so I missed my onward train home and had to catch a later one that took bleedin' ages what with all the stops in between but a 4-1 win over a rival can deflect from a multitude of hardship. If only there was another VP Saturday this season...fingers crossed for the Derby game and it will have to be pencilled in.

You can guarentee now that having come down here, expecting to play us off the pitch and take the piss but going home with a proper shooing and their tails between their legs that they'll start to develop an even bigger chip on their shoulders regarding us now.

Barcahampton set themselves up for a massive fall, same as the Albion and their ''only premiership team in the area'' shit, same as the rags and their arry delusion after buying some players from tiny clubs for money. Don't get cocky and count your chickens before they've hatched. These lot, they've always been our whipping boys, always been in our shadow and always will be.

Snoddy and Terry have brought an attitude that bar Hutton we have missed for so long.  They hate loosing and that seems to have rubbed off on the whole team now. For the first time in years we now seem to have players that are desperate to win. They don't shrink when they pull on the villa shirt.

Haven’t seen it back yet but my initially verdict was that it was an even game and in the end a poor ref was decisive.

The second goal was the key point in the game, not a clue how the ref gave a foul against us for it, poor from us to concede from it but really should never have been one.

Batth was our clear weak link, as he was against Leeds to be honest, at was targeted from the first minute, poor for the first, both before the corner and then when dealing with the corner, and then for the third just seemed to be jogging back.

Should have had a pen that would have bought us back into it, again no idea how the ref came to his decision on first viewing.

Draw would have been a fair result, weren’t at our best but didn’t deserve to lose today imo.

We’ll be fine.
Who took your other eye out you deluded Wolvo twat?

Great camaraderie in the team as well, although again Bjarnason left the field early on his own, and after scoring that goal!
Why did he leave straight away?

He did the same after a win a couple of games ago - can't remember which one. Maybe he just doesn't like Oasis

It could be something as daft as a superstition.

I’m not seeing this nailed on penalty. Snodgrass turns as the ball is going past him and it hit his trailing arm. To say that is him handling the ball ‘deliberately’ is debatable.

Agreed. It can't be deliberate if he's looking the other way. His arms are up, but only because he's just had his arm round a teammate as part of a defensive wall.
