Quote from: cdbullyweefan on September 07, 2018, 05:15:41 PMWhy are we restricted to 41 overs? Why can't we play on to make up for the overs we've lost? The rules say that a game must have a cut off point, they can’t play on until a result is confirmed. That said Cricket does have a habit of shooting itself in the foot when overs are lost. Unfortunately I don’t think the light will be good enough to enable the full 41 overs to be bowled anyway.

A ludicrous rule. The cutoff point should be when the overs are bowled, within reason. If you can play on until seven on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday you should be able to do the same on a Saturday. Seems like another rule designed to boost the sunny Southern counties. And talking of which, any news on whether Kent are going to get a points deduction?

Looks like we are going to fall agonisingly short. Weather cost us a chance of winning the One Day Cup and now it could cost us promotion.
