He changed it last year. They shat their pants in the stands at the mnetion of his name, he steams on, chins one of them, makes the away end cry and then scores the winner. Back on your coaches boys.

That'll do pig. That'll do.

It was funny. I was laughing more than celebrating his goal.

I am very calm and confident about the game. I don't think they have many experienced big game players do they? Jenkinson, Robinson, Gardner, and both keepers are about it. Che Adams is their main goal threat but his professinal goalscoring record is just under a goal every five games.

I've just seen a picture of their coach Paul Williams. Wasn't he once the Premier leagues fastest player when he was at Coventry in the early PL/SKY era? These days it looks like the only races he wins is to the carvery or buffet.

Wasn't that bloke called John? Used to be a postman.

I can remember my bluenose best mate at school desperately clinging to the fact Simon Sturridge was the fastest player in the league (according to some tests done at the time) and that meant he was better than Tony Daley.

Chortle.

I may be going mental but was there not a scenario back then Sturridge and Bailey were awarded half a goal each?

I think you are right. John Williams was the ex postman and Coventry attacking player. Paul Williams was a defender who also played for Coventry but a couple of years after John. 'After John' reminds me of the Young Ones 'Bambi' episode.

Was Paul Williams the chap that Savo knocked the ball past, then turned round and knocked it past again a no of years back?

I am quite surprised about the run up to this game. Normally I can't avoid having at least a few of their fans turn up at my desk to goad me in a display of misplaced bravado but not one of them to be seen this week.

That's what happens when you move your offices to Sherlock Street.

We are only down the road actually. You would hope "round the corner, past the tea machine" shouldn't be too difficult though.

They've been quiet because they know deep down there's a good possibility they're getting twatted.

I think you are mistakenly awarding them a degree of self awareness I have rarely witnessed in the past.

That was my thought as well. Or, even worse, they are actually hopeful of delivering the opposite. I always keep my powder dry if I fancy us to hand out a whacking.

Then I remembered the Savage years, when they genuinely had a fair expectation of beating us, and you couldn't stop the fuckers from crowing in the lead up to the game.

In conclusion, even the very dim ones aren't that confident about Sunday. If we score early then I can see us bagging a few.

I think they’d be louder had they lost the last two instead of winning them. It would nuffin’ To lose, be dem against da Vile and da world. As opposed to having that nervous confidence that they might get a result, but equally accepting they could get battered.

Correct. They're so starved of success generally that they get massively ahead of themselves at the first sign of any good fortune.

I haven't seen my window cleaner, which is a sure sign. Fucker couldn't stop talking when we went down, the conversation has been a lot briefer this season.
