There may have been a bit of flippant irony in my post regarding supreme confidence. Brassneck, you asked if I was on about Davis or Flabby. If you had read the posts you would know that I had only mentioned  the fat waster and not Davis.

Yet you fail to see the irony of my asking which player?

Of course I know you meant Gabby. You were hardly likely to call Davis a "mighty talisman" were you?
Sorry, my brain can't keep up with you. Anyway, anything is possible, I mean people are calling for a fat waster who hasn't played for months so why would I be surprised if someone called Davis a talisman?

Grabban hasn't played since before Christmas. Davis has been little more than a bit part player for months.

As I said previously, there is no right decision and no wrong decision - Each player has their own merits. Whatever Gabby may or may not be, he is 100% committed when he plays against Blues. That probably enforces your claim that he may well be a waster but I don't give a flying one. I want what is best for my team

Personally, I would like to have Gabby as an option ahead of Davis. I apologise for the annoyance that this opinion has clearly caused you.

Brassneck, once again, I have not spoken about Grabban or Davis. I have simply expressed my view that fat waster Flabby should not be selected. Please be assured that your posts are read with interest but do not inconvenience me at all.

The game last season was heading for a stalemate . I am not his biggest fan , but he changed the game when he came on (goal aside) . They definitely think he has an Indian sign over them. When he shoulder charged one of their players off the pitch, it galvanised the team and crowd who before that, had seemed to settle for a draw.
But as a previous poster has said , we should have enough to beat shower of shite without him.

Thank you Bad English. I will sleep easier in that knowledge.

I too have simply expressed my view, albeit a differing one to yours. The difference is, I have not been as forceful as you have been. I appreciate others will have a different opinion. Anyway, it is not that big an issue in the grand scheme of things is it? After all, we are discussing a substitutes bench, not even the starting line up.

Brassneck, I am flattered that my posts require your close analysis but I am just saying that Flabby is a fucking waster who should not be selected. I accept that you think differently and we can all reflect  upon this should we desire to do so.

It's an interesting question for this game. Any other game and I wouldn't see the logic of having Gabby in the squad as there are 3 bigger contributors ahead of him in the pecking order. For this game he could be useful though. You would expect Hogan to start and Grabban to be a cert for the bench. Which leaves it to either Davis or Gabby as a second forward option on the bench. Davis gives us a presence up front and offers something different to Hogan that can help the team while this is a game you know Gabby will be up for and could get the crowd going and would look interested. I think I have to sit on the fence and say it depends how they've been in training the week before and leave it to the coaches to decide. If everyone's fit though, I'm not sure I see Gabby in the 18 against Fulham.

The suggestions that somehow Gabby should be back for this match are laughable. Frankenstein needs to do some more work before he becomes scary again.
