I hope our players aren't as complacent as our posters!
That's the only danger really.

Don’t worry my boy. I’m on a five game match thread starting winning streak. If I don’t start it at the weekend fear the worst.
Start it if you must but you will stay on the precipice of sack as we move along.

It's in keeping with the Steve Bruce approach to back to the wall management. And I'm sure you'll all be hysterical and want me out as soon as we do lose.

Can't believe the complacency from one or two posters on here.  Five wins in a row has gone to some people's heads. Surely we've learned by now not to take anything for granted.  Work hard, do the basics right, don't make errors, respect the opposition.  And certainly don't think about the next game.... No need to change a winning team either.  Tick all those boxes and our quality should shine through in the end.

I am so complacent I am no longer wearing my lucky Villa pants on match day. Easy! Easy!

This will be tougher than we think, not least because of the weight of expectation.
That said,  we’ll win 3-1.

Do we assume you're actually wearing pants at all though?

3-0 Villa by the way.

Fucking hell, that's more inspiring than the St Crispin's Day rally! Duly fired up, I'll be doing double sessions on the pinot grigiot. I fell into the rookie's trap of assuming that how I feel it'll go will have no bearing on the result. Ridiculous complacency!

Cue a link to a Burton forum saying how arrogant we are.

I just had a look and noticed one of your old friends...

I must say I'd forgotten that they'd signed Bent. That worries me a bit.

That surely can't be our peter w but whoever it is sounds a right little ray of sunshine.

There’s a real feel good factor starting to gain momentum, from half season ticket sales to under 23’s results to savvy responses to Leeds new badge to our CEO being on the money with his transfer video and last but by no means least our team showing team spirit, work rate, desire and belief. There will be a big expectant crowd expecting a bucket full of goals..... 1-0 to Burton it is then 👍

Yep, I'm wondering if we'll get our "How dare you begin to believe in the Villa again!" performance.

It might be. He’s got previous. Going on other teams forums and telling us all about it I recall.
