Grabban really enjoyed yesterday victory and great to see such a goal scorer doing what he does best.
Real strong addition and looking at record has best minutes to goal ratio amongst the top scorers and potential to be leading scorer in league.

There is more than a good chance he could end up top scorer in championship. Albert giving a good go too!

Championship Top Scorers
Bobby Reid 17 Goals (5 Assists)

Matej Vydra 17 Goals (3 Assists)

Leon Clarke 15 Goals (3 Assists)

Lewis Grabban 15 Goals

Ryan Sessegnon 14 Goals (4 Assists)

Albert Adomah 13 Goals (4 Assists)

The most ridiculous one on that list is Sessegnon... he was born this century and he's not even a forward! Annoying that nobody bought him in January or I think Fulham would be out of the race.

Very pleased with Grabban. Be nice if we could have the top scorer in the division. When did that last happen?

I think I might have to hold up a hand and admit I was wrong on this one.  I didn't particularly want him because his record before this season wasn't that great and he'd acted a bit of a tit a few times but right now he's doing the business and has definitely helped us cope with the injuries to Grealish and Adomah.  I'd still like to see RHM get some game time before the end of the season though, I think he can become a very good striker.

When I first heard of Sessegnon at Fulham , I assumed it was the old baggies player and wasnt that bothered , he wont keep scoring those goals I thought , hes getting on a bit . took me a few mths to realise it was a 17 year old wonder kid .

If I was Southgate , I would throw him in the world cup squad

It beats the Grant Holt signing .      He has done brilliant since he has been here , really like the look of him.

Peter Withe in 1981, I think.

Yep, finished joint top with Archibald iirc.

Brian Little in 74/75 was the last Villa player to be the clear top scorer, albeit in division 2. And I can't count Grabban, although if he goes on a tear he could pass Albert's total for us and end up being top scorer for 2 clubs in one season as I can't see anyone at Sunderland matching his 12 for them.

Sessegnon must be an outside bet for a world cup place

Sessegnon has a twin brother who is supposed to be quite a prospect, Fredericks the right back also looks a very good player.

Yup, Ryan Fredericks looked the real deal against us. A proper footballer that will have no problem adapting in the PL (hopefully with us).

I wouldn’t. Great prospect but he was kept pretty quite by Tuanzebe

If I was Southgate, I'd call him up to the World Cup squad now and withdraw him from club matches until it starts.

Who does Bobby Reid play for? shows my interest in the other clubs that I’ve ever heard of the divisions top scorer.
