We'll need another goal, not being greedy, just incase....

Ten would be nice. Might relax then.

Keep it up lads

Grealish running the show. Much better with no Whelan and Taylor.

Fantastic first half - the way we have created chances despite Barnsley being camped in their 18 yard box for most of the game has been really pleasing. JT helps a lot in this regard as he immediately gets us back on the front foot when they punt clear.

Barney is an excellent option in that deep midfield role. So mobile, tough-tackling, keeps it simple. We are a lot faster in the transition with him in the team.

It's not been in doubt.

An enjoyable 45 minutes watching the Villa.

Partridge would be proud of the way we 'bounced back' after conceding.

Dowie would say we showed great bouncebackability.

Grealish is showing the quality many people knew he had.

It's just a great all round performance.

I'd like another two goals. Jack deserves one and Hoge deserves a hat trick.

5-1 full time please.

Class. Grealish floors the ref.
Priceless!  ;D ;D ;D
Did the ref try to hack him down after like that French ref did last week?

We tend to quickly turn on players that don’t have an immediate impact - He has been used all over the pitch, but this seems like a good position for him. I guess sometimes it isn’t the player, but the manager/tactics/what they are asked to do, that doesn’t suit each player. (Amavi springs to mind, as he is doing very well in Marseille)

Totally agree on Amavi actually. Although I think our current FBs are better suited to championship football.

Sometimes too, the player can gradually adapt to the system - I still don't think we're playing to Hogan in the way he had at Brentford where he scored bags, but he's definitely making a better go of it now (think Agnew has had a role in that).
