I never thought I would ever say this but John Terry is the best player I have seen in a Villa shirt in years.
Classic Bruceball = Defend, hope for a goal. There is no attacking tactics, method or blueprint.

There is no attacking tactics, method or blueprint.Assume you didn't watch the game? We controlled it to the Terry header and then again for 30 mins on the 2nd half. In fairness to him, most of the match thread were predicting doom based on the 10 minutes to the end of the first half so he wasn't alone. He made two comments. One criticising our fans, the other criticising the manager after the win. Now, I'm not about to sit here and say the world is perfect, but the tactic that stood out was not to give Forest any clear cut chances which we managed to do. They got more and more frustrated all game. It's not the most aesthtically pleasing approach but it was the approach. He's either a whiny bastard or a troll. One of the two.You are the one whining, maybe stick to Ice Hockey, mate. Why do you have a giant 'NOT' in your username? It's irritating. We won. Enjoy. Why on earth would he enjoy it?

And still people want Bruce out! The most successful manager in the Championship at getting teams promoted!
I also think when Jack Grealish had his blood transfusion after his liver operation they smuggled in a quart of Mo Farah's.
Very professional job, should have put it to bed early in the second half when we had a lot of possession, but we were never really in trouble. Glad for Hogan to get another goal, impressed with Bjarnason in the second half, won the ball back a few times and kept things simple.
Good result and a much needed win given other results today. Some good periods of play mixed poorer periods with too many hopeful (and pretty hopeless at times) long balls. Thought the defence looked solid throughout though and thought Bjarnason did well when he came on in the holding role. If we can field that back four on a regular basis with Jedinak in front of them then we should be strong at the back for the remainder of the season. We didn’t really fire going forward today, but I thought Grealish, Hogan, Snodgrass and Hourihane all had their moments with only Adomah looking a bit out of sorts.
