I like the way Snoddy didn't react to anything today.  He must've been fouled about 47 times!

The most comfortable 1-0  you can get. Terry was back to his usual colousis best, Grealish oozed class in midfield and Hogan's confidence is rising by the game. Just getting the feeling we are starting to click now we have turned into the home run and definetly a 1975 style run in is still on the cards.

Classic Bruceball = Defend, hope for a goal. There is no attacking tactics, method or blueprint.
Assume you didn't watch the game? We controlled it to the Terry header and then again for 30 mins on the 2nd half.

Are you denying this is his tactics? It's an observation which is correct. But oh yes, we wonz so we r da best !
Are you in a foul mood because your team got stuffed at home 0-3?

We did exactly what we needed to do, score, put in a shift and use our heads to come back with all the points. Good win!

In fairness to him, most of the match thread were predicting doom based on the 10 minutes to the end of the first half so he wasn't alone.

He made two comments. One criticising our fans, the other criticising the manager after the win. Now, I'm not about to sit here and say the world is perfect, but the tactic that stood out was not to give Forest any clear cut chances which we managed to do. They got more and more frustrated all game. It's not the most aesthtically pleasing approach but it was the approach. He's either a whiny bastard or a troll. One of the two.

3 points. Job done. But why am I always shitting myself that we'll let our opponents equalise?

It's the Villa way, but having John Terry back there marshalling things EASES MY SPHINCTER CONSIDERABLY.

It's an arresting image, TV!

I was thinking exactly the same.

Great result Villa, well done to all concerned.  Momentum is now beginning to build and we have to keep the pressure on.  Sit tight, peck away at the gap and then on for the final big push.

I love Snoddy his interview was really great at the end.  Gave massive support to Hogan for all his hard work.

Really good result that, and with Leeds, Boro and Bristol all losing we are more solidly in the playoffs again. Pity Derby and cardiff won, but I am not too upset with Blues getting tonked 3-0!

Pleasantly surprised with Bjarnson, who looked far better than Whelan in a position I would not have thought he could play in. Credit to Bruce for trying that.

Defence is so much better with fit Terry in it.

Pleased for Hogan.

Good result and a much needed win given other results today.  Some good periods of play mixed poorer periods with too many hopeful (and pretty hopeless at times) long balls.

Thought the defence looked solid throughout though and thought Bjarnason did well when he came on in the holding role.  If we can field that back four on a regular basis with Jedinak in front of them then we should be strong at the back for the remainder of the season.

We didn’t really fire going forward today, but I thought Grealish, Hogan, Snodgrass and Hourihane all had their moments with only Adomah looking a bit out of sorts.

Probably our most important win of the season we’re right in the mix now. Time to stop all the negativity and get behind the team. UTV
