If my memory serves *hollow laugh*  when we were on a good cup run in the 50s, might have even been the year we won it we played Sheffield United, Middleborough and Bristol City in succession.  The Meaning Evil published a song sheet to be sung to the tune of Tipperary that went "goodbye Bristol City, farewell Middleborough" except we were expected to pronounce Middleborough Middlesbro to rhyme with "long way to go to Wembley, a long way to go".  Needless to say only the nerks sang it.

Did you spend some time inside with Ronnie Barker and Richard Beckinsale?
I like the episode where Beckinsale/Godber reminisces about his high hopes one year for Villa in the cup, only to lose 1-0 to Rotherham. An awful game.Credit to the scriptwriters for their research.

Why the late kick-off time and not on Sky?

Why the late kick-off time and not on Sky?

Because Bristol City played at 17:30 on Sat and there's at least 48 hours between games

I'm chuffed after realising it's not on telly, means we may win.

I'd go with;

Johnstone

Hutton
Terry (if fit) or Elphick if not (but on the right)
Chester
Elmo

Jedinak

Hourihane
Grealish (both in the far more advanced positions they had second half against Boro)

Adomah
Snodgrass both wide

RHM up top.

Murphy has that pace and mobility and I think he'd cause Baker no end of grief.

As we've seen since he's been here, having Jedinak sitting in front of the defence makes us more solid defensively, but it comes at the cost of us having to set up deeper and not be able to break as quickly.  That said, we are now in the position where we've got to win games and seeing as we are hardly free flowing in attack, keeping it tight at the back might be our best chance of doing that.

1-1 Whelan.

Gerry Gow for them.

Surely that score should be 2-0 to them?

Why the late kick-off time and not on Sky?

Because Bristol City played at 17:30 on Sat and there's at least 48 hours between games

And yet Wolves get an extra 26 hours by playing tomorrow night? As if they need an further advantage....

Head says Brizzle win; heart says dismal, goalless draw. Happy 2018 y'all.
