The greatest game you have ever been at (Villa only)

Mine has to have been the 2nd Replay at OT in 77.

The game had everything - half term meant I could go evening living in London at the time.  Stayed at my mates house in Northfield (shout out to Mark Tonks).

Went the match with Mark, his sister Nicki and his mum and dad (who both were Albion fans - he used to work at the Albion something to do with physio).

Traffic was horrendous and we only got in the ground as Everton scored.  We gradually started to dominate the match without scoring when Chris Nicholls wrote himself into history with that tunderbolt (was it 40 yards, 50 yards or even further).

Little then scores our second only a minute or so later on and we were in heaven for the first time that night only for  the spawns to grab an equaliser of their own.

I knew at the end of 90 minutes we would win all the Everton players were flat out on the ground  whilst ours were all on their feet receiving instructions from Saunders.

Again we took the match to Everton in extra time and what had to be one of the world crosses of all time which two Everton defenders took a swipe at and missed only for Brian Little to score the winner.  Heaven has no boundaries.

Inter Milan at home, 94, Phil King. Remember driving back down the M1 to London and every car that had a Villa flag was greeted with cheers, horns, etc. I was in love with the Villa many moons before but that night was very special.

Villa 4 Liverpool 2.

Remember that so well, I was on the move around the Holte when Saunders slipped the equaliser in and Ronnie Rosenthal missing that sitter.

Villa v Manchester United in the second leg at home, winning 2-1. 47 years ago.

Amazing passion, throbbing Holte End, breathing as one. Irrepressible team held and lifted high by Villans giving everything, everything from the heart.

Athletico Madrid second leg.
This stocks on the mind, especially the second half. I remember Collymore  and Hendrie having a blinder. Tails with his usual home leg goal. I remember Mollina had just broke a Spanish league record for time without conceding a goal and played a blinder. How we didn't win the round I don't know.

I remember Taylor giving the pen away in the first leg and a pretty bad first half.

I remember being pleased to see Vieri in the flesh as he was one of my favourite players at the time. Best player out of Australia by a mile.

I am sure Bernboy that for those of us of a certain age this is the game we will remember. It was a packed Villa Park, Villa were in the old third division and for me , this game stood for the re-birth of the club that 12 years later would be lifting the European Cup. The Trinity Road stand was rocking, the Holte End was absolutely rammed and in the middle of it all a 12 year old Virgil Caine realised that this would be the football team he would go through life with.

Too difficult to chose out of so many starting with Charlton 11-1.  So from my greatest list I've gone for the most enjoyable, the 1977 League Cup semi-final replay at Highbury, QPR 0 Villa 3.
Living in London you had to suffer their press going on as to how QPR were going to put us to the sword after the previous two drawn games.
Little scored all three, Gray ripped the QPR centre backs to bits and Mortimor dominated midfield. Highbury was awash with Villa fans and the evening was made all the more enjoyable as QPR had acted like horses' arses throughout the two ties.
One of the next days red tops had the headline "Little by Little by Little".
Happy days.

94 League Cup Final Villa 3 United 1, goals from Dalian and 2 from Deano. A United side that had Keane, Ince, Giggs, Hughes, Cantona and a certain Steve Bruce.
