It seems an odd thing to be perturbed about.  In the grand scheme of things, it seems utterly irrelevant on just about every level I can think of.

It's just a hunch but I think his missus might have some pretty strong views on subliminal messages in children's stories.

Ha ha. You’ve obviously never met my missus. But keep going with the lazy stereotypes.

Snowflake generation....

Ah... the current default insult. What’s ‘snowflake’ about having a discussion about current affairs? Or did you just learn that phrase from the comments section in the Mail Online?
Example of patronising

Snowflake is patronising. Back at ya
Back at who?

Er... you maybe?
Are you really 52?

I can't be bothered to deliver a webinar on the British Empire but look it up.

THIS.

A bit patronising and pompous but you don’t have to thanks very much. I’m sure most of us at least have a rudimentary knowledge of the atrocities committed by the British in the pursuit of empire. Does that make the China stuff okay though?

The flag represents the country, i.e. the people, rather than the government. That's if you think that these things are important, which they obviously aren't.

I've heard that every time Tony visits he brings some bricks, soil, seats etc. It won't be long before the stadium, car parks and pitch were made in China.

I've mentioned it before on here and have to say I'm a little uncomfortable about it because although our owner is Chinese we are not a Chinese club and there are certain associations with that flag and country that are not agreeable.

That said, I don't get too worked up about it in all honesty.

I'll start worrying when they hand out little red books as we enter the ground.

I’ve just noticed the national flag of China is flying over the HDE Stand. Anyone else uncomfortable with this?
May be you should look properly next time you are at VP as it's been there a long time and I don't think anybody should be "uncomfortable" with that. Our owner is from China and proudly displays his heritage and I welcome it. If you also care to look around the City you will fine most multi-national businesses display the flag of their origin and that's great.
