Last minute decision to come up from London for it.
0-0, guaranteed.

This is all very Villa. Lose a few, we're the worst team in the world. Win a few, and we're gonna smash everybody. In recent times we have been the worst in the world, or very close to it, so the optimism and desire to win is very much an antidote to that negativity of just a couple of weeks ago.

But I really hope that old Villa disease, the most pernicious of all Villa diseases, complacency and arrogance, doesn't return. As long as we remember, we're not too good or big for this league, and we should never expect to beat anyone we haven't worked our socks off and sweated blood to beat. If we can eradicate that sloppy thinking with consistency and vigilance, then I'll know we've turned a corner.

Complacency could be a factor here if this thread is anything to go by.

Account clearly hacked!!

The normal Ads predicts a 4-0 win whoever we are playing!

😜

They've not won away or at VP for a while.....

Did they not beat us 2 1 last time they played at VP? Always remembered them being a bogey side for us apart from under MON

Yep. THAT McLeish game. They won at VP in the LC that year as well.

The next challenge for us is how we react when teams come for a point when they play us  (home and away). Its been a very long time since we've been good enough to break down teams who put massed ranks behind the ball. Tomorrow will be a good test of that I reckon.

This is my take on it aswell.

The most poisonous night I've had at Villa, and theres been a few. Worse than anything in the relegation season IMO

Agreed. I have never experienced at atmosphere so weird in all my 30+ years of going to games. Walking back to the car,  my wife said she would never go to another Villa v Small Heath match ever again, and she hasn't.

We could be as high as 5th if other results go our way. I won't know what do with myself if that ends up being the case.

That night will never be equalled in terms of sheer nastiness at Villa Park.  Even the calmest, most passive Villa fans were wound up for that.

I'd love it but;

Preston v Sunderland
Ipswich v Bristol City

We'll, more than likely, be 7th come the International break.
