So Bruce for another week then...

Strange way to celebrate a 2-0 lead.  Much better that Bruce builds on this and gets it right than yet another load of upheaval with a new manager.

I support Aston Villa. I'm not celebrating a 2-0 lead. Ever.

Im still trying to get over losing the 4 one lead at Spurs in 2008

Did the guy not get a slight touch of the ball for the penalty?
I thought he played the ball too.

Looked like it, although that doesn't mean it can't be a foul.

Indeed. I have never understood why so many people think that if you get a touch of the ball it's not a foul.

I remember MON having that exact argument in public with that c*** Roger Johnson when we beat Small Heath a few years ago.

That's the one. Gabby brought down and Milner scored the penalty.

We all share those reasons to worry. But that is not the same as calling for the manager's head because we are 2-0 up.

Blimey, I didn't see that coming! Hoofball's finally turned up trumps.  :D

Exactly, not very subtle but I suppose in our position who cares but I just wish we looked like a football team!

We could do Barnsley 9-0 and I'd still want MarisPiperodocus out.

Winning 2-0 away and some are still unhappy?

because it's built on sand, we've had a shocking goalkeeper mistake and a penalty but have still looked lethargic in midfield and soft down both wings.  The points and goals are welcome but it's not been a great performance.

Yep I'm happy we're winning but way we're playing can anyone really seeing us winning 20 more games this season.

My target was top 2 on August 5th so that's why I'm judging the standard we need to be higher than what we've shown so far.

Good half that, and very pleased to be 2-0 up. Adomah is a cracking player at this level. Quite why anybody would prefer pub player Bjarnason to him is anybody's guess.

This will be interesting. Manager vs manager on how they both react to us being up.

Put Onomah on second half....way better than Whelan. Hutton for Elmohamady as well.

Whelan is the main reason Barnsley have not scored, stopping multiple moves outside the box. Barnsley's strength is on Villa's left so Elmo and Snodgrass can use their Hull relationship to break down the right.

Davis has got immense physical presence. If he can add goals to his game a la Benteke he'll be superb.

John Terry gives no fucks. I do love it when he gives the opposition zero respect.

One good thing is if we can get a clean sheet, would be 3 in a week so starting to get that defensive toughness we had for large parts of last season.
