Did the guy not get a slight touch of the ball for the penalty?
I thought he played the ball too.

Looked like it, although that doesn't mean it can't be a foul.

What I'd like Bruce to do is find a style, but it doesn't need to be the same home and away.

So, if we reckon we're useful on the counter, set up to play that away from home.

If we think we can replicate the way we played against Norwich, adapt that at home.

Then just fucking stick to it and hoover up wins. This league is fucking awful, it's shameful that we do so badly in it. That's what Benitez got right with Newcastle, took a few games but found a starting line up and style that would work more often than not, and stuck to it.

So Bruce for another week then...
Never underestimate our ability to f£$k things up.

Yep. There is the Aston Villa factor to consider.

It'll be interesting to see what Bruce does with the team for the next half.

John Terry has been great so far today, too.

He really has. Some bloody quality distribution.

More luck than design which I think is why were not exactly excited but Bruce will be waxing lyrical.

I know people on here are moaning about pressing etc. but I think we have done ok, can't recall Sam J having any saves to make where we have had more chances even though we haven't had the ball as much.

He seemed to stumble upon something against Norwich and then Wigan. 8 goals. Happiness all around. And then plays 3 CB's at Bristol City and it's been bland or shit ever since. He might have got lucky again today. As you say, let's see what happens now.

Winning 2-0 away and some are still unhappy?

because it's built on sand, we've had a shocking goalkeeper mistake and a penalty but have still looked lethargic in midfield and soft down both wings.  The points and goals are welcome but it's not been a great performance.

Indeed. I have never understood why so many people think that if you get a touch of the ball it's not a foul.

I remember MON having that exact argument in public with that ****** Roger Johnson when we beat Small Heath a few years ago.

We're much better on the left today than the right. Snod is having a tough go, but at least he's got a decent engine. I think we're playing pretty well, but I need more from Hourihane going forward. Great to have Kodj back, showing some quality. Let's get KD a goal.

Midfield two isn't really working, it'd be good to see Bruce address it.

I've come to the conclusion I don't want a new manager as there is no-one out there that I think will do a better job, the links I've seen don't fill me with any sort of confidence.

I just want Villa to win, if it's with  Bruce then great.  If not, then so be it.

Nice to be winning again, especially away.

Exactly. If we won this 5-0, he'd still probably start with some fucking mental idea next week.
