Very funny, if depressing, last line.

Current odds to win the league after ourselves and Boro being pre season favourites.

Wolves 11/4
Boro 13/2
Cardiff 7/1
Leeds 7/1
Fulham 9/1
Derby 12/1
Villa 14/1
Sheff Wed 14/1

I was going to have a speculative bet on Gabby as Championship top scorer but it only lists the top sixty candidates and he isn't one of them.

"can we please get rid of those patronising adverts to buy pies and drinks that kept popping up on the scoreboards against Brentford?"

Perhaps following on from the CEO interview the club decided to continue with the pie in the sky theme.

The point about never pressing the opposition is how we've been for the last five years at least.

Re the comment about Terry and his shouting.

When Terry did have a bit of a chat to the ref late on, my mate mentioned that it was the first time that he'd seen Terry do that whilst at Villa

We also were discussing Terry and how we seem to have done the usual job of making his standards slip very quickly. I really would have expected some on field management from him when it's plain that the actual manager isn't capable of altering things positively.

I would have thought that effective on field management would be the least we could expect from Captain Terry

Terry has been steady, his positioning and passing consistently good, although a little slow. Pretty much as expected. However, he seems to offer no leadership. We were promised someone who would haul us through the hard times, be the true leader that we have missed for years. But he seems to just go through the motions silently, holding that same fixed expression that he has perfected throughout the years in order to  supress the bile brewing within.

Agree, in fact the only thing he seems to do, is before KO to go round shaking everybody's hand, which is the least I would expect from a captain.

Those betting odds put us just outside the play offs, you're having a laugh.

Terry, so far, is like a band on their 10th greatest hits tour, plodding out the same tracks over and over and just 'phoning them in' as they say. Hope it improves.

I note from his Instagram this morning that he was back in London having egg on toast for breakfast so I presume the team are not training today or part of his deal was that he only does selected days?
