When was the last time we scored 4 goals in consecutive games?

2008-09

24th August beat FH Hafnarfjordur 4-1 (a)
27th August beat Man City 4-2 (h).

For any eternal optimists that think we can keep the run going, the last time we managed it three times in a row:

2007-08

5th April beat Bolton 4-0 (h)
12th April beat Derby 6-0 (a)
20th April beat Small Heath 5-1 (h)

Ah yes, April '08, a golden era.

Re Hogan, I mean sometimes players just bask in the sweaty hugs of their teammates after scoring. Can we really take it as a snub against the people who buy the subscriptions and watch the adverts that pay his wages?

Right good stuff let's keep scoring 4 goals each game.

I personally don't see what the problem is with Hogan not celebrating with the crowd. Some player's do, some don't. There's more to be concerned about.

True. Score, trot back to your own half and await the restart. I don't give a toss about your wacky celebrations, headstands, tributes to your nipper/mom/injured colleague or your ability to slide on grass. Retrieve possession, get up the park and stick it in the fucking net again!

Brian Little scored a few and never did much in the way of celebrations.

Agree with all the sentiments above but the vibe that came from Hogan to Holte was that he was making .a point. Two goals against Wigan is a start.  Long may it continue. It has been a long time coming.  I can live with looking at the backs of goal scorers.

I also thought for the short time he was on the pitch that Ross McCormack looked much fitter and genuinely interested.  The times they are a changin'.

I do wonder what hogan and mccormack would do as a front two. Both clever forwards, are they too similar?

Errr. there's certainly a pace difference.
And, I'm not aware of any problems Hogan has had with his gates.

Sage advice and Brucie should print this and pin it to the changing room door.

That was a memorable run. Stans halfway line goal at Derby and the total humiliation of the pride of Small Heath

Can someone who saw the game please enlighten me as to what the actual formation was?! Did De Laet play centre-back with Elphick?
