Thoroughly enjoyable visit to VP again. Played with intent, played with kids, scored four goals, again! Just need to continue in the same way against aBristol on Friday.
Was it me or did anyone else notice that Scott Hogan didn't "celebrate with the crowd" when he scored ?

Right, nobody fuck this up, okay?

cd starts Cup pre-match threads.

Legion's back on League duty*.

Agreed?

*unless someone's got a good enough memory to remember who last started a 4-goal-scoring victorious League away thread, I think we can chance it.

It was Dave.

BRUCE IN! Never in doubt, obviously.

Seriously though, he does need a huge turnaround to really convince, but two wins and eight goals scored in four days certainly looks like the beginning of one. Let's hope it is.

Hopefully this is a sign that there is, after all, some coaching going on at Bodymoor Heath and that the scales are finally falling from the dinosaur's eyes.

Very encouraging  and well done Bruce (gritted teeth)
Quite refreshing to see so many of our kids on the pitch tonight. They all did very well with O'Hare ,for me, the best of the bunch. From the seniors I thought De Laet was very good and pleased that Hogan got a couple of goals. That should do him good. I guess Wigan making 11 changes  helped us. All in all a very enjoyable at VP and long may it continue.

Biggest gate this eve.
Considering there were only around 20 from Wigan that's good going,
22. I counted them.

Sheffield Wednesday away end of Feb will need to be rearranged.
I have booked the Wembley Hilton for a  celebration evening.

Tough team selection on Friday. I'd keep the same starting 11 minus Hutton.
Hutton didn't play tonight ;)

Just home through the roadworks.  I too noticed that Hogan turned his back on the crowd when he scored. Doyle-Hayes was the one who impressed me.  I don't think Bruce has changed his style voluntarily.  I think he has been told to change it.  However it came about it is welcome and long overdue.

I wonder if we counted all ST holders or only those that turned up and if we had to pay Wigan for the ST holders?
We only counted those who turned up because if we count all ST's we have to pay Wigan more money.

How many ST holders have we got this season?

Our reserves v their reserves. Our reserves much better.  Hogan could have had a hatrick, Bjork looked strong and probably the stand out player overall but they all played welll, even so, Gardner as tidy as he was didn't do enough to worry squad inclusion.  The only downside is that Hogan made no effort to integrate with the crowd after his goals.  The ref was awful.

I only decided to go to this one a couple of days ago. So glad I did. Some great performances and 4 goals of real quality. Hogan's second and Adomah's were especially good. Hogan looked the player we thought we had bought and Thor was much improved.

When was the last time we scored 4 goals in consecutive games?
